Good and bad buys from Aldi and Lidl

Does anyone know if either Aldi or
Lidl sell Tofu? (not made into any pseudo-meat products, just the plain unflavoured stuff). It always seems a bit expensive at the big supermarkets. I can get it cheaper at the Asian grocers but it's quite a trail to get there so not very convenient.0 -

They don't. Holland and Barrett do if you're purely wanting to avoid the big supermarkets0

I don't know whether I was unlucky with the two packs I bought, but Aldi's Eccles cakes seem to have 'gone off'. I found the fruit to be a sweet mush and the pastry on one side a solid mass, instead of flaky layers.0

Lidl's Gellatelli 'Stracciatella' ice cream is absolutely gorgeous.Just in case it's a new one on you (like it was for me) it's vanilla with little shards of dark chocolate.Need I say more??0

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!
