Passatta has disappeared again from our store. They have left the label up with 'Out of stock' on it, but it has been gone for weeks.

Tried another of there Shudda milkshakes tonight, not very impressive for a 'Frijj' copy. Very thin and synthetic taste.

Same happened with Tom puree was gone for nearly two month.

Is the passatta oos in every Aldi? I've only got one carton left and going to stock up next few days.

    Everywhere else it's 15-25p more

A downside to Aldi is when things disappear and staff can offer no explanation. I'm sure the reason is they can't source it for a good price any more but it still frustrates me.
Latest gripe is sliced runner beans, really enjoyed those for a few weeks, and still mourning the loss of Thai style fishcakes which DH enjoyed for years.

I had many conversations with different Lidl managers over the years as it seems like it's always the products I like that disappear. Apparently items can disappear without warning from their ordering system and they can only put on the shelves what is available to order. Weirdly enough a similar Italian product vanished both in Aldi and Lidl at the same time so they must have had the same producer in Italy (Olives in oil). I think we notice more because there aren't 12 different brands of the same thing to choose from like in the big 4....

Brand change in Aldi - £ 1.95 cat food pouches now have a silly childish design and different flavours than before. If the quality has changed will be investigated my cat...

I've kind of gave up on Lidl lately, but here's my list of favourites from Aldi.

Crunchy Nut Cornflakes (their own brand version)
Cheesey Pasta type box (their own brand)
Tomato and mascarpone pasta sauce (small jar)
    Penne pasta (own brand 29p)
Maasdam Cheese slices (I really really like these!!)
Greek style yoghurt rhubarb/strawberry/apricot 6 pack
Chocolate Mousse (which unlike other brands are veggie friendly!!)
    Low fat grated cheese
    Grated Mature cheese
Self raising flour, strong white bread flour, wholemeal flour, crusty bread mix.
    Cranberry & raspberry yoghuts (individual)

We do about half or shopping or more at Aldi, then we go to Tesco for the stuff you can't get there - fresh salsa, baking products, other branded stuff we like etc.

Raisins have also vanished from Aldi. Out Of Stock sticker in place in two of our local stores.

There were loads in my local Lidl yesterday (made a point of looking after seeing your post), 35p/500ml. Orange packaging, Fresh-something-or-the-other.

I was absolutely gutted to discover my favourite Jaffa cakes ever are no more at Lidl:mad:
i was looking and looking yesterday for the distinctive Orange packet, and it finally dawned that they had been replaced by a mc cities copy. I hate mc cities Jaffa cakes. Aargh..

Can't believe these have gone. They were by far the best Jaffa cakes, even superior to the M&S ones and of course much cheaper.

Also, my favourite frozen fishcakes have dissapeared from aldi. There were two types, Thai Salmon and Hake ones:o

My DH loved these but they disappeared at Christmas. Tried to email customer services and find out but lots of fobbing off info like they were a special (for how many years!!). Bought M&S alternative at more than twice the price and far more fiddly to cook.:(

I agree maman, the little packs of sliced beans were lovely, and missed!

I love the pineapple cottage cheese, but I have to rifle through all the trays to find them.

We'd make a good pair as I'm rifling through for the plain one! I often tidy up the shelf for them while I'm at it as there are usual several plastic trays with a few in each!
