The chill cabinet (rather than frozen) Aldi lasagne is pretty good -

It was the chilled cabinet one I was referring to.

And I was saying how bad the frozen one is :)

I don't like spending £1.50 on a ready meal, I don't think these are that cheap in Aldi really and they are full of fat/salt.

The value ranges in other supermarkets for less than £1 are much better, especially Morrisons Value Lasagne.

Wonder why you can get just about any pasta in Aldi and Lidl but not macaroni?

I'm pretty sure that they both stock Macaroni here - central Scotland. I've bought them only from Aldi before...

Will the ones for £1 in other supermarkets also feed 4 people?

Scottish Aldi has quite a few different lines to English Aldi.

One of the reasons I like Aldi is the smaller range of ready meals -much easier to avoid them if they aren't there ;)

Exactly! The only things I buy which are "ready made" are the 1kg lasagne, family steak pie and the tomato, spinach & mozzarella pizza from chiller cabinet, each of which provide excellent value for money and the family really enjoy them.

The 1Kg lasagne from the chiller is lovely! the new smaller version (which I think a previous poster must be referring to) is horrible. it IS really sloppy and rather tasteless.
