I really like the Maasdam cheese slices from Aldi. It's like a cross between Edam and Emmental. It has a pleasant light but creamy taste, without being as nutty as Emmental.

I'll give it a try but I do like the sweetish, nutty taste of Lidl's Emmental too although Aldi is easier for me to get to.

Lately we've been enjoying the Aldi gorgonzola, the dolce one is very like Dolcelatte.

Glad to see this as never tried it before - I bought some yesterday and was able to use the money off voucher in the Mirr0r.

    Love Aldi :)

We're all different - fortunately - but my experience of the Aldi Maasdam wasn't as positive. Tried it the other day for a change, but found it absolutely tasteless.

It's a '2', like their Emmental, and it's Dutch, so it was never going to be a big hitter, taste-wise, but whilst the Emmental had a decentish taste, we both found the Maasdam completely tasteless.

Each to their own. I like Edam and Gouda, so Maasdam is just a bit of a variation on those.

Just visited Aldi in the Republic of Ireland. The locally produced food there far exceeds in quality the stuff that you get in the UK. Although many other products are the same!

Totally agree and a quick and easy meal if you combine with Aldis Singapore noodles.

Do you mean the Infusions chilli & ginger salmon by the Harbour Co? I've bought this version in Aldi but don't recall seeing an own brand one.
