Aldi could be trying to undermine Lidl. :D

    That wouldn't be hard :D

I have to say I am somewhat relieved. I tend to buy the medallions as theres no fat on them. I am happy with the quality of the meat. I really didn't want to source another supplier.

5% fat mince in my Aldi today at £5.98 per kg in 500g packs. That's the best price I've seen anywhere. Unless anyone knows different......

No. Do you know what Halal meat is (technically)?

    Muslim

Throat is cut and obviously blood drains and animal dies. It would appear that the Muslim way of killing meat animals is not dissimilar to Jewish Kosher method.

'Kosher meats, which are consumed by Jews, are permitted to be eaten by Muslims.[12] This is due to the similarity between both methods of slaughter and the similar principles of kosher meat which are still observed by the observant Jews today

To be honest killing animals is similar whether by stunning or throat cutting. More concern is whether the living but to be killed animals are treated with respect and not 'feared' by smelling the killing.
