Just came back from Lidl Clapham Junction and they put in a checkout for baskets only with 3 tills. Maybe they will roll this out nation wide...

Lidl and Aldi are stocking dried red lentils here (Central Scotland)
Always stocked them in mine, South Wales.
Do I need it or just want it.

Our Scottish store has always had them too, they are amongst the vegetables, I presume for making soup.

As a chocoholic I would highly recommend Aldi's Moser Roth Luxurious Cocktail Truffles, £2.99 for 200g. A special treat, they are as good as any chocolates I've tasted, and I've bought a lot from Hotel Chocolat, where they would be 4 or 5 times the price.

Just been to my local Aldi and the Cocktail truffles were reduced to clear at £1.49, with a best before date of June, not that they'll last that long! Catch 'em if you can, highly recommended.

Big new display of Everyday Porridge Oats (1Kg, 75p) in my Aldi today.

    Are they reading our thread?

Price rise: Swiss Style Muesli (was £1.29, now £1.35) still great value.
