I like the Harvest Morn exotic muesli. It has been rebranded as Specially Selected exotic muesli, put in a different box and gone up 20p!0

Both Lidl and Aldi are getting too big for their boots and increasing prices whilst decreasing pack size.
They are riding the crest of the waves and hoping people don't notice. Broccoli is 50p more in Aldi and 20p More in Lidl when compared with the big 4.
look at the sweets next time you go in and you will see that the pack size is printed by the same machine who adds the best before date, that way they can chop and change the weight to suit like Poundland does! I get fresh meat like bacon, posh sausages, premium steak mince, sliced chicken breast, and meatballs from lidl, along with W5 bleach, anti bac cleaner, balsam washing up liquid, all in one dishwasher tablets, rinse aid and salt, bin liners, foil, shower gels, aftershave, hairspray, tissues, freeway cola, premium orange squash, schgotten, apple and raspberry drink, and the imitation Guylian.
I do not like the mid priced chocolate that was on offer a few weeks back, white bread, diet cola, frozen peas and chips, easy cook rice, toilet roll, cat food.
My opinion of Aldi is getting much lower of late as the non food specials are getting beyond a joke, there are far too many of them at any one time now and they are not cheap. 1.99 for one dinner plate? come on!
Both of them operate on a touch and go where stock is concerned, going to Aldi yesterday i couldn't get multipack lemons, baby tomatoes, cherries, 4 pack onions, baking potatoes, and more besides. that '' swap and save'' tripe is really annoying as you cant get half what you get from a mainstream store.

I've even asked about lentils and Aldi said they didn't stock them. They are alright but not as good as other places for vegetarians/vegans.
I brought canned chick peas yesterday in Aldi!0 -

What weight are you talking about? Broccoli is 67p for 500g in Lidl for ages, at least it still was last weekend. Are you sure you're not comparing it with the 335g packs in Sainsbury's and Asda? They are 49p, but the lose broccoli is £1.35 or £1.38 compared with £1.34 in Lidl.0 -

Is it because you are missing out on fruit juice and bacon, I wonder? :huh:0 -

I've not noticed anything like that going on in Aldi.
Which products are affected? I don't like Broccoli, so haven't checked that.
In my experience, and one of the things I like about Aldi & Lidl is that their prices for non-seasonal things don't suddenly jump up 20-30p for no apparent reason.
In fact, some products have been the same size and more or less the same price for several years. (200g Brie was one of the first products I regularly bought in L & A, originally at 95p and now 99p, going back 4 o,r 5 years, same with Aldi Oatcakes, originally 65p and now 69p and Lidl Soya milk, originally 65p and now 59p).0 -
How do you make satay sauce? I've googled a few recipes, but just curious how you make it.
I make Slimming World Chicken Satay, here's the recipe :
