Have you tried Lidl muesli the luxury ones in the green or blue bags? My DH swears by the blue one.

No maman - I rarely go to Lidls, but will put it on list for when I do go.

Personal taste, obviously, but Lidl have been doing these for many years, and they're infinitely superior to anything Aldi have. I've never found a better muesli, and they're fairly often on offer - sometimes at half price.

Quite possibly made by Dorset Cereals:

I tried them some years ago when they came out top on Good Housekeeping taste test.

I bagged one of the last Luxury Stollens today - or Strollen as the hand-written label would have it.

    £1.49, BB 9/3/2015

Tried one of the 21 (or was it 28) day aged rib eye steaks this evening and it was lovely. Nicely marbled, didn't shrink to half the size and not too expensive at £4.79. Someone less gluttonous than me might even be able to make 2 smaller portions if accompanied by plenty of veg.

I've got three weeks, and I've been in training.

It's going to be a challenge, but I think I'm up for it. :)

Lots of people were piling packs of fresh chicken chicken into their trolleys when I visited at 8.30am this morning...I went for the red tulips, which look absolutely gorgeous. Recently their pineapples have been lovely too, so I bought a couple more.

Also bought a Crivit workout bench (the poor man's "TotalGym") which I'm looking forward to using :)

Great excitement when I opened the new Aldi Special Buys leaflet today! As from Sunday they are selling Apice - an Italian Aperative - for £5.99. I am assuming this is a copy of Aperol (£14,99 in Sainsbury). It's my favourite summer drink of all time since I discovered it in Northern Italy a few years ago. Mixed in a jug with Prosecco, Soda, ice and orange slices it's my idea of heaven! Can't wait to try it and see how it compares to the real thing!

Thanks, I saw this advertised in Aldi mail and wondered what the heck it was - might give it a try. Have a few 50th birthdays to celebrate this year, this might help me get through :o

I agree, it is pretty good, so much so that I thought I try some of their other soups. I'd also recommend the chicken, but the oxtail has a bit of an odd taste - not sure what it is!
