As you prob buy a curry sauce and something for another meal later in the week.
And £3 is also a lot more expensive than £1.05 (which is what you are suggesting people spend.) Supermarkets must love you. This is why we can't have nice and fair things.0 -
I really like the Carlos Ham and Pineapple pizzas in Aldi but they haven't had any in now for ages.
Does anyone know if they have them in their local store, I'm getting withdrawal symptons, I think I'm going to have to try a couple of other stores.Don't wait for your ship to come in, swim out to it.0 -
Fairly sure we have them in Medway. There's certainly a good choice of different flavours in the 79p Pizza freezers.
79p...! :beer:0 -
My local Aldi has reduced the chocolate santas and white chocolate reindeer for a second time so the santas are now 39p and the reindeer are 29p. You can also get a box of theor own brand chocolates (gift wraped) for £1.99 reduced from £3.99. Perfect for valentines day!0

Curry sauces are disgusting. It's so cheap to make your own from scratch and much, much cheaper.0 -
So? £1.50 is more expensive than £1.05. Why would anyone waste money on curry sauces? Preferable to buy however many packs you want for £1.05 than be limited by the diktat of Sainsbury.

I am not suggesting you buy three packs of poppadoms but as I mentioned can buy 2 more items of Chinese, Thai, Mexican as well as Indian items. As I bet within 7-10 days later, you will have another cuisine. The ranges includes taco shell, soft tortillas, crackers and dipping sauces. Most of these dipping sauces are not available in Aldi. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
No Porridge Oats in the Bromsgrove Aldi store today either and I wanted some because I love it (I eat it all year round).
Mum has introduced me to their jars of Fairtrade Coffee so I picked one up today. I usually drink Dowe Egberts Pure Gold but it is expensive and it isn't always easy finding bargains.
I picked up some Xmas cards for 99p and a chocolate Santa for 39p. I also managed to get a box of biscuits for £1.39.
Aldi have started selling filtered milk too which is cheaper than Cravendale (not opened it yet though as I still have Cravendale to drink).
That Fairtrade is £1.99 for 100g isn't it ?
Douwe Egberts never costs me more than £1.87 per 100g.
Occasionally ASDA has it cheaper (on a special roll back or BOGOF offer) but FARMFOODS has had it at £3.95 for the 190g jar for months and months and months.
I do a £25 shop and use one of their regularly offered £2.50 off £25 coupons making everything I buy at a 10% discount ...
... making the Douwe just £3.55 a jar
and 1kg of Tate&Lyle Cane sugar just 45p a bag
and the 675ml bottle of Cussons Morning Fresh WUL a mere 53p

Not all jar curry sauces are vile, I like the Aldi Specially Selected ones with the spices in the lid that you fry with the meat before adding the contents of the jar. The Dopiaza is especially good.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage."
