I think contacting Aldi HQ regarding poor quality will help them a lot more. Their systems are not as good as the big 4.
If you just go to a store and say the product is not up to quality, they just swap it for you without noting down bb dates, batch codes etc.
When you return something of poor quality to one of the big 4, they fill in details to put onto a database and if loads of reports come from a few products made by the same supplier, they may consider changing them. Plus the batch codes they can tell when and where it was made. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

This person frequently makes complaints about Aldi products yet still shops there!! Rivalry??
I dunno, something doesn't add up though.
:
I do enjoy most of Aldi's products. Enjoyed their SS biscuits for cheese selection. Had a box of some chocolates in a very long and thin box - black, gold and caramel and they were particularly nice.
The warning of the it may contain plum stones is printed on the lid. My parents also bought a caramalised onion and a tomato based SS chutney and the fruit etc was thick and chunky. The Xmas one was like a runny cranberry sauce. I had better value chutneys and pickles before. As Dad said, the jar was prob filled at the end of a production line or a blockage in the pipework that fills the jars up.
I have done rave reviews of other products, but like any bad experience, you notice the bad ones more - like if you do get bad customer service, people talk about it 6 times more than good customer service. I will not touch their yoghurts as have a horrible aftertaste, kiwis as still like bullets 10 days after buying and satsumas and their cousins as never had a tasty bag - 33 pips in one satsuma anyone? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Sainsburys do. I had some their batteries and they had no charge in them. Got hope, opned the pack and put two in my alarm clock - dead. They gave me my money back and some goodwill. But if you bought a branded item and lost the receipt, you better off contacting the brand as give you manufacturers coupons. I had bought some Fruit n Fibre (on a very good offer) and no fruit and nuts! Got 5x£1 vouchers from Kelloggs. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I think that might just be you...........
If I have ten interactions with a company and nine are good and one isn't I'm far more likely to chalk it down to a one off than go moaning to all and sundry. No-one is perfect and everyone can have a bad day.

Let's keep it friendly, folks
Back to products - OH brought home some of the relatively new chilled microwaveable salmon fillets from Lidl. We had the chilli marinated and plain for dinner last night and they were both rather lovely. Will get them again, especially with YSs :cool:First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -
I gave pots of Aldi's chocolate orange spread as presents, and everyone loved them. I just hope they come back soon as I am getting withdrawal symptoms.Who having known the diamond will concern himself with glass?

I made my 'pigs in blankets' from Aldi SS chipolatas and they were excellent. I don't normally buy chipolatas at any other time of the year but would thoroughly recommend.0

I bought Aldi's half wheel of Stilton it was horribleNo Matter what you do there will be critics.0

Will you be able to make it into soup? Maybe the other ingredients will make it more palatable.
Didn't get an Xmas pud as I really can't stand it but had an Aldi raspberry and almond sponge pudding and that was very nice.0
