Has anyone here complained to Aldi HQ re quality issues of products? Did you get anything?

My mum is going to contact Aldi about the very runny SS Christmas chutney. It does say on the lid warning may contain plum stones. Dad thinks the jar must been end of the filling line.

Can't she just take it to the store and show the manager? I'm sure they'll give her her money back.

I have taken a few things back to Aldi that have fallen below the usual standard, always things I've had before> never had a problem getting either refund or replacement but I do like to let the head office know when I'm not happy, I hope it stops the quality falling. If no one complains it will just get worse.

Please do take it back to the store, without exception they are great at swapping or refunding items.
Re the quality of the item, I am sure Aldi HQ would be interested, it's not in their interest to use below standard suppliers.
I had so many goodies over Christmas that were ooh, so nice. Torrencino (sp) nougat, the Specially Selected stollen was the best I've ever had, and that included those bought in Germany. The ready to roll pastry was a dream to work with, inc. the Specially Selected sweet shortcrust which made fantastic mince pies.
I couldn't find any pfeffernusse (small glazed gingerbreads) other than in a musical carousel presentation tin. Which I hope to rehome with the first small visitor who likes it!

We bought crackers that were stale and never had that problem before. I will take them back but not complain as such.
  • I bought a spring bulb basket (10 tulip bulbs) from Aldi a couple of weeks ago. When I took the cardboard covering off the top of the basket today, I found a packet of compost and....no bulbs!!!. Maybe a packing error, but the packaging isn't very secure,so check before you buy. I'll take the basket back tomorrow and see what happens.

I don't understand the issue with the Aldi SS Xmas Chutney, it was perfect as far as I'm concerned, and certainly no warning of plum stones anywhere on the label. I bought several jars for the family so have checked them all.

This person frequently makes complaints about Aldi products yet still shops there!! Rivalry?? ;)

I dunno, something doesn't add up though.

I've enjoyed a wonderfully luxurious Xmas feast on a very tight budget thanks to Aldi and looking forward to a New Year's one too. Even Co-op have reduced prices to match Aldi. If Co-op's £10 champers match that I had from Aldi last week then it will save me a 10 mile round trip lol :money:

Regardless of complaints, Aldi offer a 100% refund guarantee if you're not happy with any product so simply take it back to store. It's not rocket science and none of the main stream supermarkets offer it.
