My worry would be that I end up making chips every week as a "treat" in order to get my money's worth from it and then get addicted. Thanks heavens there's no choice for me, I just don't have the kitchen space.
I have the duronic one on amazon, it's a Airfryer. I researched for about 18 months and the constant reviews of the Tefal Actifry where Paddles breaking and them not lasting long was off putting. It's a lot of money to invest in something that is not going to last. I eventually settled on the duronic Air fryer on amazon. The reviews are all really good, even from people that had owned the Tefal Actifry previously. You can cook a lot more in it than chips. The only time my oven is on now is if I am cooking a Joint of Meat. Saves on Electricity. The duronic one I have is retro looking which is another reason I preferred it as my kitchen is all done out in the retro look. I payed around the 70 quid mark for it. Worth every penny.
Anyone thinking of buying a Airfryer go for it. You won't be disappointed.'There are far better things ahead Than any we leave behind '0 -

My Tefal Actifry gets used for a whole lot more than chips. Particulary good at sausages ( because the paddle ensures even cooking ) and minced / diced meat dishes0 -
Just a quick note for who debated the usefulness of this thread.....
It gets used a lot so it is useful, isn't it
Lidl has new in Turkish style yogurt (1 kg pots) @ £ 1.49, Greek full and low fats have also gone to the same lower price for now. I just opened the Turkish and I can say that I love the taste and you can actually see the live culture on the top as it's a set yogurt. I've had an Actifry for almost 3 years now and nothing has ever broken on it. I paid £99 on special offer and I cook a damn sight more than just chips in it! Great value for money for me0

I buy fish from Aldi and it's not minced and pressed, it's solid fillets!0 -

I am trying not to eat chocolate, but Aldi have some new varieties in. Luckily for my diet, the seasonal flavours like plum and cinnamon mousse and apple strudel mousse filled bars are milk, not dark, I try not to eat milk chocolate, as I don't enjoy it enough to justify the diet sabotage.
However, the sea salt Moser Roth mini bars are dark and very nice.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I bought the Rolled Lamb Shoulder joint - but was a bit dubious about roasting it. to me, shoulder is for Stews and Casseroles. I slow roasted it and we had it for Sunday Dinner today..............it was divine! tender and melt in the mouth and the FLAVOUR - that was like I remember lamb from my childhood! Even the grandkids (not big meat-eaters, they love their veggies) asked for seconds.
Either you were very lucky, or we were very unlucky. Bought one and cooked it today and it was awful. Just mostly fat and inedible. Most of it went in the bin. By far the worst thing I have bought from Aldi. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
