    I bought the Rolled Lamb Shoulder joint - but was a bit dubious about roasting it. to me, shoulder is for Stews and Casseroles. I slow roasted it and we had it for Sunday Dinner today..............it was divine! tender and melt in the mouth and the FLAVOUR - that was like I remember lamb from my childhood! Even the grandkids (not big meat-eaters, they love their veggies) asked for seconds.

    I saw lidl have whole crabs in the freezer. I was tempted but have no idea how to prep them. Then at the checkout I noticed the lady who owns the local Chinese takeaway had at least fifteen in her trolley so there might not be any left!!
    I did buy the deluxe tempura prawns with chilli sauce £1.99 for 12, they were delicious.

    Certainly tried it, but I can't recall the price. It was excellent - as good as anything you'll find anywhere (and that includes southern Italy, where it's produced and drunk in large quantities).

    This used to be extremely difficult to get hold of in the UK - I once wasted a lot of time trying to find some. Aldi and Lidl have brought in so many quality items like this that lazy big supermarket buyers never bothered about.

    Lucky you - here there is no food at all in next week's leaflet or did they print 2 different ones??
    But enamelled pans at Lidl next week (from 6th), I'm tempted.

    There are 2 leaflets available next week ( 6th -> 12 Nov )
    1 for food and a different one for non-food
    They are normally combined into a single leaflet , but possibily they have split them in the run up to Christmas ?

    Ernesto pans are Lidl, not Aldi. Aldi's ceramic pans are very good in my experience.

    Lidl's are the same price, plus they have smaller (and cheaper) ones http://www.lidl.co.uk/en/our-offers-2491.htm?action=showDetail&id=17766
    Also, Asda's are on offer ATM.
