Good and bad buys from Aldi and Lidl

Dear Freinds
About 4 months ago we had a new aldi store open and purchased lots of stuff many days - mainly as its only 4 mins from our house hear in wolverhampton
However over the last 3-4 weeks there seems to be a growing trend that stock is either very low or not avalible
ranged with issues are dried cerial cakes buscuits crackers and tins
vegatable can be sold out - bread is out of date that day or not it stock
but the biggest issue is frozen range, they are running freezers empty not for a day or so its was empty for well over a week
they had signs up saying due to circumstances beyond out control we cannot offer a full offering sorry etc....
this has been going on for well over 2 weeks - over stock level is in my opinion running at about 60% capcity in fact the you can see more shelf that goods in places,
is this just out store or is in all over ( have they opened too many stores ) without incresing the buying side - if the products not their we cannot buy it
also i noticed that smaller aldi stores seem the have smaller ranges and higher prices on some items (is this a new policy or aldi too)
any thoughts cheers
Up here stock levels depend on what time of the days it is, could that be the case where you are? It's the same with Lidl's veg but I rather have fresh veg next day than sad looking ones.First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -
Prawns (frozen)
Aldi- brilliant! Good size and great quality. Will buy again.
Lidl- small, not so great quality (I had black prawns, prawns that had been cut in half and some shells). All be it better than any of the big 4 supermarket economy prawns and at a cheaper price (even cheaper than Aldi per 100g) but not that great in terms of quality. Wont buy again.0 -
visited today - barly and tiined veg tom soups meats - very low on flour eggs baking accessories - sauses mayonasse salad dressings etc empty / low gravet onion / chicken oos - freezers slill bare - haircare low and gappy - nappies babby wipes low / oos - foil wrap bin bags low - cleaning fluids low - buscites almos bare - choc bars low - muiti packs almost gone - cakes low - cerials low / gappy - coffee bare to very low - jams etc low - peanust almost out i had the last bag of dry roasted
and have photos to back it up - areas resonably full where fresh meats / cooked meats - sepcial buys pop beer etc...
plenty of staff collected steel cages of boxes (empty)
maybe their are gonna re-work the store - maybe there increaseing their offering, maybe they dont have the back up supply chain - dont think its the staffs fault cos it really does look like they are closing down, no one can not notice the stock levels
where is the aldi we once loved gone - if i could post the photos i would but dont seem to add them on hear seeing is belifing
i may well contact aldi - but if they ain't bothered to do anything about something that been going on for 2 weeks i doubt they will care0 -

Dave maybe Aldi HO aren't aware the store is like that.
To post the photos open up an account with flickr or photobucket and add the photos to that and post the link on here for them.0 -
hi ya
this is a new store and its even worse today even took photos but no able to upload them
If its a new store ,they may be struggling to get the stock levels correct while lots of people are visiting it in its first couple of weeks to "give them a try". Wait a few weeks they go back once everything has settled down to a more normal level of customer activity0 -
The 'living' lettuce has disappeared since they put in the new fridges for salad stuff. Hope it comes back or I will have to go back to Asda for itYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
