Does anyone else like the Frangipane tarts (pack of 6) from Aldi?
I have only been introduced to them recently and think I may have a slight addiction to them
Bet they would go really well with vanilla Carte D'Or though (currently on offer at Lidl).Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

The chip shop style steak pies from Aldi are very nice indeed and great value at 2 for 99p. And we've figured out that all the Holly Lane bakery produce is actually Mr Kipling re-packaged. Also, there is absolutely no difference between their copycat mini chocolate bars to the original Twix, Mars, Snickers and Bounty brands so we reckon those are also the same product re-packaged. Their Snackrite crisps are also as good as Walkers too. Big thumbs up from us!0

Just been to my local Aldi, and they now have a security guard !
Wonder if it is to do with the two young lads they caught a few weeks ago for shoplifting and when the manager challenged them, one started throwing punches and had to be restrained by a customerYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -

We've had one for ages. really nice guy, always says hello when I go in there. I assumed they were standard.0 -
Haven't read whole thread but was thinking of doing a big ol' bulk shop at Lidl or Aldi.
Things I'm considering, canned goods obviously. Canned tomatoes, canned corn, canned fish, various canned beans, (not baked) jars of pasta sauces, but also things like prosciutto as the Lidl near where I used to live did a good one for £1.50 per 100g or something. And chocolate.
Anyone got a handle on how much I'm looking at for these? Can I get a can of chopped tomatoes for 35p for instance? ThanksDoes anyone else like the Frangipane tarts (pack of 6) from Aldi?

Sounds amazing, I love frangipane. I could imagine being addicted to these also.0 -
Sorry to break the news, but the free coffee is to be ended. As expected it proved too popular with those wanting to socialsie rather than shop!
Hi Davey jp, can I ask where you heard this? Wouldn't be at all surprised but would be interesting to see how they manage to withdraw it without a deluge of negative comments!
Edit: looks like it's John Lewis restricting their free coffee and cake offer, not waitrose (as yet;)
Bought the active fat free vanilla yoghourt from Aldi today for dd to try0 -

For the whole of the week starting tomorrow they are also doing Ritter Sport chocolate which I really like at 50p off - 200g for £1.49

Check mysupermarket.com and download the app for your phone. it will give you all the prices although sometimes it doesn't have absolutely every item on there, especially if they're specials. I use it every week to see the savings I make0
