Good and bad buys from Aldi and Lidl

Love Aldi and have shopped there for 15 plus years, tried most things and liked/loved them but have to report disappointment with hair dye. For £2.99 thought it was worth a try but although colour was fine condition of hair after and since has been dreadful and have had to apply loads of conditioners and serums to get anything like the gloss back!
I tried Aldi hair dye for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. I dye my hair often and have done so for many years and this hair dye definitely ranks in my top 3. I ended up mixing the red shade with the darkest brown, and my hair has ended up a shade I am very pleased with and my hair feels in better condition than it did before. I will buy it again for such a small price, and think anyone should give it a try for the money. It's like anything I guess, what works for some, won't work for others. It has a thumbs up from me0 -
^^^ Does it cover greys? I was amazed at my Poundland buy, worked much better than the brands on my random white hairs! Although my hair does look darker than it has for years, from brown to an inky black...!Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I use the Aldi hair colour and it was fine. What I tend to do is use my usual brand for all over head colouring and make up half of an Aldi pack for root touch ups. I make up the other half in the same way and by the time another few weeks have passed it's time for an all over head colouring again. It makes it quite economical and you are not putting too much colour on hair that does not need it. The colour lasts in the tube fine as long as the top is screwed back on properly and same with the liquid.0

Just had a large gammon joint from Aldi for dinner tonight.
Loads of fat running through it. Have bought before and its been fine, but this particular joint was not good.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I'm not sure if I've mentioned them before - German Pretzels in the Lidl bakery. Fresh, great! I still prefer M's bagels (Lidl should do those but not yet) but the pretzels always remind me of great holidaysFirst they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0

I have quite a lot of white hairs now and when I last coloured with a dearer brand it didn't cover them at all, but the Aldi dye has covered them all!0 -
I would like to say a huge thank you (I'm really sorry but I can't remember who it was) to whoever posted about the aldi cat food. Our cat would eat nothing but Iams. We tried other foods but it just got wasted as she wouldn't touch it. We bought a bag from aldi to try and she has been eating it no problem:jsaving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200

I went back yesterday to buy more of the Senior boxes, with 8 varieties to choose from now our picky girl is spoilt for choice! I'm glad your cat feels the same :TFirst they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, and then you win - Gandhi0 -
Are they any where as good as Calgon? Haven't inspected the ingredients to compare as yet.
Opinions only sought from people that actually use these tablets - not the naysayers that will quote "Which?" magazine.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Lidl does a gorg soft cheese called Crefee avilable in with herbs (purple pot) or garlic (green pot).
The herbs one tastes exactly like Boursin cheese, only softer, obviously. It's about 79p... if I remember correctly. Really yummy!0
