re lidl version weetabix - my son also says they are horrid but he likes the aldi ones. Had to throw 2 packets of Bixies away. Don't eat them myself, they all taste like cardboard to me including weetabix.0

We find the aldi version of weetabix every bit as good as the branded weetabix,0

Has anyone tried the packets of Cake Mix in Aldi? They are packaged like mini bags of flour.
I've tried them all except the ginger cake (in cupboard waiting to be baked). They're very nice, DGD1 loves the toffee cake and she's the world's pickiest eater.
The carrot cake was a hit with her until she realised it had carrot in it! Very tasty though.
The madiera was so nice my brother thought I'd made it from scratch, and he's a cake monster!Sealed Pot Challenge member 28

Just wanted to redress the balance against those who post that fruit and veg are carp at Aldi.
I don't think the fruit and veg are c**p. I buy veg from most of the main supermarkets, and found myself disappointed by the very short life of some of the Aldi veg in particular. I wonder whether the fault is the lack of temperature control in store?Free thinker.:cool:0 -
All out f and v goes straight I the fridge and easily lasts the week.0

Thanks for the replies about the Cake Mix.
I like the idea of a tray bake.
What veg oil do you use?Dave Ramsey Fan[/COLOR]0 -
