    Do you really think they would take that option rather than raise prices?

    If you (and those who applauded your comment) read back, you will see that it wasn't my suggestion that they would.

    In the real world, where businesses operate, companies are more likely to take the decision M&S did for the reasons I suggested. Aldi might (or might not) reach the same conclusion. It's hard to predict what a privately owned business operating in a foreign market, which it is still learning about, will decide.

    Had the Lidl Burgers for din-din`s , 2 for a £5 offer :)
    The ones with the Flame Grilled Peppers were superb , very little shrinkage and no excess fat produced while cooking ! :)
    Gonna try the "Plain" ones later in the week :)

    I had the Aldi's Aberdeen Angus Burgers (down to £2.19 from £2.99) and they were lovely.

    They did not lose their shape whilst being cooked and they did not shrink either!

    Finally took the risk of buying some Aldi Cat Food for my fussy moggies.

    I bought the Vitacat Healthy Balance Complete dry cat food (£1.99 for 750g). Suspiciously identical looking to Iams. They loved it.

    Also bought the Vitacat Premium Selection 12 meat pouches in jelly (£2.49, reduced from £2.79). This was a massive hit. One of my cats is really fussy but they both wolfed this down. Looks identical to Whiskas. I'll be replacing that with the Vitacat from now on.

    Two more items to get at Aldi from now on then. My "other" supermarkets list is down to just a few items now. Love it!

    Never been a massive crisps fan but took a 6-pack bag of Aldi's Snackrite Crinkle Cut Cheddar & Onion ones into work for my workmates to munch on.

    Had a hugely positive response so had a pack to try myself. Wow! Absolutely gorgeous! I think they were only a quid so I'll definitely be treating myself to more of these and trying the other flavours - these were the best Cheese & Onion crisps I've ever had.

    We're Aldi converts and some of our favourites are;
    The pecan and maple granola, large blue block of milk chocolate for 89p, better than cadburys IMHO, their knock offs of mars, snickers and aero, McCoys crisps. Our fussy moggy who has a penchant for Sheba loves the premium cat food. The lemon sole in a light batter is divine and two good sized fillets for under £2. Deli fillers like egg mayo or tuna & sweetcorn are great as are the cheese strings, pepperami and frubes lookalikes. Their Greek yoghurts are also rich and creamy. The lacura deodorant in a dove like can is much better than dove and around a third of the price. Each week our store seems to be having more and more new lines and with each passing week we're spending less and less at the big 4. Will there come a time when we refer to the big 5???

    I'm visiting a new Aldi store tomorrow whilst out for the day. It's much bigger than the one I usually use so hopefully has lots more to offer. Excited :j
