We use Aldi bread flour regularly, with no problem at all. Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is frequently used in strong (bread) flours to improve their performance. Waitrose use it in their own bread flour, too.
I don't know about W's I've only ever tried their organic one.
Sainsbury's don't add anything, and it works perfectly well, so I'll stick with that.0 -

I just checked the Lidl white bread flour and it contains ascorbic acid too. It works very well in my sourdough starter and I don't see a problem in some added Vitamin C...0 -

Our Tesco and Asda don't have veg first layout.0 -
Aldi Focaccia - lovely lovely lovely
Aldi Sugar Puffs equivalent - OH is a Sugar puffs fiend and says the Aldi version tastes no different to Quaker. The Tesco version apparently is awful!
Aldi Specially Selected Red Onion and Gruyiere Quiche - meh. Not so nice. Wont be buying again.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

bought a maginon wireless cctv camera on todays special buys, there was 2 left in the cabinet and a chap was waiting for the keyholder to come as he had been to other stores that had sold out so seems I got the last one.:j
the motorbike gear looks very good too, im thinking about the boots at £30, and the jacket looked a very sturdy well made item, im ok for a jacket at the moment, but will get the boots tomorrow, hopfully some left.
ill report on the camera when I get it fixed up tomorrow.

we have three 'Aldi's quite close to me and they ALL have different layouts! doesn't matter much to me as I have the time to wander round and browse through everything.
perhaps it is down to each store manager to 'layout' his stock? because they are all different size stores as Aldi bought existing supermarkets.0 -

I don't like that quiche either - but I do like their cheapy cheese and onion one though!0 -

Don't you be giving me ideas now. My hips are already suffering from all the good stuff Aldi is offering at such a low price.
My willpower when shopping has just gone as I "just need to try" a few bits in Aldi I'd NEVER consider buying in Tesco as it was too expensive there.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

On Slimming World, if you were having a green day, the rice would be 'free' so you would just need to count the meatballs and the mayo. Convinced myself that it is a healthy lunch :rotfl:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever0
