Good and bad buys from Aldi and Lidl

Has anyone bought any of the Garden equipment from Lidl in the past ?

This week they have some good looking shears and loppers at 7.99 each which I am thinking about getting.

Yes I've had them and they're fine, I've had several years out of everything I've had and still going strong. Apart from secateurs - but only because l keep losing them in the garden.:o

Aldi Cherry Bakewells - not as good as Mr Kipling (is anything?!) , but better tasting than tesco's own brand.

Aldi meatballs - £1.89 for 20. Lovely cooked in a tomato sauce, but as they just need heating through rather than cooking, I think they'd make a pretty good snack to munch on too.

The meatballs - are those a special offer or is that a permanent price? Fresh or frozen?

Think it's a permanent price. Fresh, in fridge near hams and cold meats.

The ones that byl is talking about sound different as they only need 'heating through'.
The ones in your link need cooking.
