Aldi Cherry Bakewells - not as good as Mr Kipling (is anything?!) , but better tasting than tesco's own brand.

Aldi meatballs - £1.89 for 20. Lovely cooked in a tomato sauce, but as they just need heating through rather than cooking, I think they'd make a pretty good snack to munch on too.

Love the Aldi meatballs, they are lovely hot or cold. If I don't fancy sandwiches for a packed lunch, put some chopped meatballs in a bowl, add some cooked rice, salad and a dollop of mayonnaise.

Aldi's full sized frikadellen (liked cooked pork burgers but much nicer) are indeed very tasty. I've never tried the mini ones but they look to be the same formula.

Yes, they are. They used to also do a more spicy version that were even better IMO, but sadly they disappeared a few years ago.

The Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon @ £3.49 is better than some £10 bottles of Merlot I've tasted :D

I've had the small ones, much cheaper and nicer than the Swedish meatballs from Tesco.

BAD buy from Aldi: strong bread flour.
I bought Aldi's flour for the first time (I normally use strong bread flour from Sainsbury, and SR/plain from Lidl).
When transferring it to a new container I noticed that the flour looked a bit lumpy, which I've never seen before, and then I saw that it contains a flour treatment agent, ascorbic acid, which is not used in other supermarket's own brand flour as far as I know.
Regardless of the results I'm not going to buy flour that contains additives, and I'm getting more and more disappointed with Aldi, so I don't think I'll be rushing back there any time soon.

The vodka is vile, hangover-inducing stuff.

The £5.xx prosecco is very nice.
