Does anyone know if Aldi get in Jersey Royal potatoes? If so can you remember roughly when you saw them?

    Thanks in advance :)

I love oats but dislike them as big oats, if you see what I mean........ I buy the Aldi ones in the paper bag and whizz them up in the magimix they then make a ready brek type consistency and are yummy with the Aldi Californian raisins :)

Watery porridge I think will be more down to the way it has been cooked, ie too much liquid or not cooked long enough as oats are mostly oats I cannot see how 1 brand would make thick porridge and another make thin porridge, I suppose as with flour they are all different to a certain degree and it is more a case of finding the right quantity of oats to liquid and the right cooking time.

As said I have never been a fan of traditional style porridge but can vouch for them whizzed up into ready brek :)

Easiest way is just fry or bake :

and then add to a tomato/onion sauce of your choosing and serve with pasta - but you will find lots of meatball recipes on the web if you do a simple search.

cctv camera is installed, it took about 30mins, not much to set up its pretty much plug and play, biggest job is getting the camera power cable out side and mounting the bracket.

the bracket to camera angle adjustment gimble is not very good and doesnt secure the camera properly so if its in a windy place the camera can/will shake making the picture unsteady, mine is mounted in a reses so out of wind so should be ok. it wouldn't take much to make it better but they have gone for a no tools fix by hand method, but as everyone will have some spanners bolts would have made a more secure hold rather than the plastic wing nuts.

picture in daylight is good enough on my tv but as the resolution is only 648 by488 pixels it may be a bit grainy on a hd ready, and full hd tv's

it has sound and I can here people talking that are a good 30m away, so ive disconnected that.

night vision is in b & w and ill let you know how it looks after dark.

although the system receiver will take 4 cameras, there is no info as to how to purchase another 3 cameras and power supplies only or whether you need to buy 3 other full systems, if anyone can enlighten me as to how to get more that would be great, I could do with at least 1 more camera for full yard coverage, (im in a middle unit so to point one the other way just to be padantic really).

the item is imported from Germany, but doesn't say its made there.

I also went back to aldi and bought a pair of motorbike boots for £29.99, tried them on instore as there wasn't many left and got the last size 10 pair:j.
then went home got the bike out for a trial run and they are superb, wow I never thought stuff could be that good quality for such little money my last pair of motorbike boot cost £180

many many thanks aldi. please keep the specials coming.

night vision on the camera is as good as day time, it says 18metre range at night but I can see 30m plain as day, admittedly there are other night lights in the yard so that will perhaps have some baring.

they had a little pamphlet instore that showed all the up and coming special buys, on Thursday they have a compressor and some air tools coming and it shows a sand blaster amongst others, however on the e mail notification I got today its showing everything but the sand blaster, the only thing I need. does this mean the sand blaster wont be available now on Thursday or is it just a e mail glitch.?

I find the aldi porridge in the paper sachets fine, but you do need to leave it to thicken for 4 mins or so, I usually put mine in the microwave for 2 mins 30 seconds and then let it stand, it thickens up quite a lot.

Also the aldi roasting beef joint (21 days matured) was amazing, one of the best roasts beef I have ever had, it cut like butter and tasted very nice (didn't cook it as long as the 60mins per 500g) as I thought it would be too cooked so I cooked it for about 45mins per 500g and it was perfect.
