We are getting a new store in my part of our town, it will be next to TESCO yipee, they have had the monopoly for too long.
LIDL, I have never shopped there as we don't have one locally, but have been reading good things on here about them.
We also have an ALDI , so it's a win win situation, having the choice is fantastic. You live..You learn.:)0 -
Getting a new aldi that is opening beside tesco tomorrow.
Second Aldi store for inverness.

I do not know if many other people have had an experience akin to the one I had at Aldi today?
If you do not have a trolley and choose to use a basket, you have considerable difficulties at the checkout due to the lack of space! This can be exacerbated by the checkout staff thrusting your shopping towards you at a rather fast pace.
Today, I had, amongst other items, a four pint carton of milk which ended up on the floor. The carton burst, soaking my shoes and trousers with milk. Not only did I not receive an apology from this Aldi staff member, But when he returned with a replacement, he thrust it into my face!
I will NEVER EVER shop at Aldi again!0 -
Yes, you do have to try to keep up. Was it you, or the cashier who dropped the milk?0

I cant say I blame you really.
ive not been shopping at aldi long and have found the staff helpful and polite in store and at the till, (which does run very fast). although the staff at my estranged shopping venue where polite I did feel it was sometimes forced.0 -
I've now shopped in Aldi three times, the first time with a trolley and the latter two with a basket but on both those occasions I only bought half a dozen items so could pack straight into bags as they came through the checkout.
On my first visit I repacked the trolley according to which products I wanted packed in the same bags (i.e. fridge, fresh, tinned, packets etc) and then took the trolley to my car and bagged everything up properly as I would in Waitrose, before placing them in the boot. I didn't find it any more inconvenient to be honest.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
