Good and bad buys from Aldi and Lidl

The point is that they shouldnt be packing at the tills - The benches behind the till points are for packing.
Occasionally I've not been able to find the price of an item and have asked them to check the price - this seems to give me a little more time as they delete the price of the item from the bill...Free thinker.:cool:0 -
Agree, but I'm able to pack (a basket full) at the till with my Primark foldable shopping bag quiet easily - it' like a tardis.
.
I have no problem with that. My reponse was after complaints of people saying there wasnt enough room at the till to pack their bags properly and slow packing at the tills.0 -

Last year I bought some double carnations at 30% off - supposedly past their best, they were absolutely glorious for over three weeks.
Nothing beats Aldi flowers, Tesco please note....
I agree. These roses I bought from Ald! 12 days ago and still look pretty fresh to me. The splash of pink was from the bouquet I bought a whole month ago. I couldn't bear throwing it away with the bunch I bought 4 weeks ago so I added them to the roses.

it shows a pic of the compressor and 9 boxes underneath 8 of the boxes has a air tool in it and 1 box is blank, the blaster is not shown anymore. ill call in anyway on Thursday and see if there in stock, perhaps its just a glitch.
it was just a glitch as they where instock:j another fantastic superbuy.
only got a few items today as I did a bigger shop last sunday, so I used a hand basket and took my own bag for life, never had a problem, there was a elderly chap 3 cusomers up from me who was taking a bit of time but the cashier didn't look remotely annoyed.
I went into tescos beforehand for coffee, dogfood and phone top up and was in a cue of 2 people before me, and it took at least 10 mins as the cashier was explaining the new fuel deal to each customer.0 -
Don't waste your money on Aldi strawberry runners. They are incredibly cheap (£1.99 for eight) but of three packs I tried 10 have died (and I've been growing strawberries for decades, so I know what I'm doing). It's hardly at tragedy at the price but a reminder that sometimes you get what you pay for.0

I agree with your last sentence for sure, but things you buy should still be fit for purpose, im not sure where you stand with warranty regarding living products, such as plants maybe just till your out the door.
the tools ive purchased are by no means for professional use, but very good value for the diyer or cheap enough for the occasional user. and a 3 year warranty is unheard off for pro stuff purchased elsewhere.0
