many thanks to both.
I did just look and it is only on the f&v, and stuff that isn't on the super 6 range so thanks to dlusman we have our answer:j
I guess that depends what type of store is using a PLU code. I've come across it being used on other items before now. Usually specials and items that you can't stick a barcode or label on for scanning.“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
does any one know what the PLU with a number underneath (its a 7 on the oranges I got yesterday) means?
ive seen it on other stuff also from aldi.
All the fruit and veg have PLU code, its so we can enter it into the till as they don't have barcodes. We have to learn them all off by heart.Baby Numner 4 due 7th May 2016:dance:

Then it isnt a "true" PLU. Stores can obviously identify product in any way they want - but a PLU is an official designation for fruit & vegetable varieties. See the website I quoted previously0 -

Aldi Gin is okay, but its no bombay sapphire.
Tonic water absolutely fine
The "Cromwell's" small batch is more than a match for Sapphire. Unfortunately it only makes an appearance on high days and holidays recently.0 -

Aldi do a range of mixers that seem to appear a few times a year, and bitter lemon and dry ginger are amongst them. Lime may have been too.
There are quite a few products like this, that appear as Specials periodically but aren't stocked regularly.
Whole salamis, ready -grated hard cheese, amaretto biscuits, risotto rice and specialist pastas come to mind from recent Specialbuys. (All of them are great.)Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Does anyone know if Aldi are still doing the soft rind goats cheese? I loved this and it's disappeared from my store.
The black grapes they have at the moment are lovely.0 -
Very pleased to see that the Shimmering Day Cream is back from tomorrow - I loved this product, it was perfect for my not-so-perfect skin. It says it's back by popular demand so obviously I'm not the only one, and I did make a bit of a fuss when it disappeared (and Aldi even rang me personally about it, which is impressive for a product costing £1.99!)
Just hope they haven't changed the formula, I wish they'd bring back some of their other cosmetics, the mascara and powder compact in particular but there are a few eyeliners etc coming in, so I live in hope.0
