4 big boxes of packets of Ginger Nuts in Aldi today - 25p a packet.

OH hates them, so didn't buy, but felt like I should if they were going to disappear from the shelves!

I sooo had to resist the freezer goodies this evening! Quail, pheasant, venison, four bird roasts, roulades, king prawns etc

I did pick up a bag of tuna steaks to try though. Absolute bargain at £2.99 :j

Their ginger nuts are normally 25p - they are rather yummy.

I tried some of Aldi's wienerschnitzel the other day - talk about scrummy.:)

saw all the plu codes as I was quail and roulard shopping

they still had loads of the s buy tools from last week I noticed, my next stop was to a mates in a battery shop who was telling me about his rusty frame, so I told him to go get a sand blaster like mine for a 10er. he couldn't believe how good it was.

that said my cctv camera has gone faulty, ive tried to ring the phone number on the warrenty to see if I can send it back for replacement, (if I take it back ill just get a refund) but I cant ring from a mobile. the number is

00800 78 77 23 68, invalied number it says, but this is the number also on the website

tried 0800 78 77 23 68 it says try again deleting the first 0 from a mobile, so rang

    800 78 77 23 68 invalied number

theres no e mail address but you have to phone before returning goods

perhaps its only from a land line, but bt wont fit me one in-case I tow the caravan away taking the pole with it:rotfl:

We don't shop in either very much as the nearest branches are 15/20 miles away. A new Aldi is opening 5 miles away in April so we will visit often.

We have bought a number of non food items over the last few years and there are some bargains to be had although the quality is variable. The customer service is good and they will replace things without question.

We bought a weed wand which didn't work properly so Lidl sent a replacement plus gas canister from Germany. We bought a small induction hob from Aldi and after nearly 2 years it stopped working. They no longer made them so sent a cheque for virtually the whole amount, that's what I call service!

As a point of interest Aldi came top of Which best supermarket, again.

Has anyone tried their wet cat food? Our little one loves Asda but it is a bit malodorous.

    thanks for the answer vpb23.
    can I just ask;

if the price changes on the various items ie like carrots being on the super 6 does that alter the plu code or do you need to re-learn them every week.

    im just curious is all.

The code stays the same but price alters on till.
