does any one know what the PLU with a number underneath (its a 7 on the oranges I got yesterday) means?
ive seen it on other stuff also from aldi.

Probably a stupid question, but couldn't you just buy the plain tonic water and add a splash of lime / lemon ?

used to identify varietiesof fruit & veg

It's a till code. I'm assuming this is on the 'special 6' or whatever they call them? This code would over-ride the normal bar code on a special priced item.

What I do is buy lemons cheaply (pancake day or YS), slice and freeze. Then they double up as ice cubes and lemon flavour in drinks.

the tools ive purchased are by no means for professional use, but very good value for the diyer or cheap enough for the occasional user. and a 3 year warranty is unheard off for pro stuff purchased elsewhere.

Oh, Aldi offers a warranty but the nearest branch is a three quarter hour drive from me, so I'm not taking them back to complain.

I did just look and it is only on the f&v, and stuff that isn't on the super 6 range so thanks to dlusman we have our answer:j
