I love oats but dislike them as big oats, if you see what I mean........ I buy the Aldi ones in the paper bag and whizz them up in the magimix they then make a ready brek type consistency and are yummy with the Aldi Californian raisins :)

Watery porridge I think will be more down to the way it has been cooked, ie too much liquid or not cooked long enough as oats are mostly oats I cannot see how 1 brand would make thick porridge and another make thin porridge, I suppose as with flour they are all different to a certain degree and it is more a case of finding the right quantity of oats to liquid and the right cooking time.

As said I have never been a fan of traditional style porridge but can vouch for them whizzed up into ready brek :)

Why not just buy the Hot Oat cereal then from Aldi, save you magimixing it up?

Does anyone know if Aldi get in Jersey Royal potatoes? If so can you remember roughly when you saw them?

    Thanks in advance :)

Ive bought jersey royals from my local aldi and theyve also been on the super six, within the last 6 months

Humidity meters ( to show whether the soil or compost is too dry or wet) reduced from £5.99 to £2.99 at Wells Lidl - plenty left.:)

night vision on the camera is as good as day time, it says 18metre range at night but I can see 30m plain as day, admittedly there are other night lights in the yard so that will perhaps have some baring.

they had a little pamphlet instore that showed all the up and coming special buys, on Thursday they have a compressor and some air tools coming and it shows a sand blaster amongst others, however on the e mail notification I got today its showing everything but the sand blaster, the only thing I need. does this mean the sand blaster wont be available now on Thursday or is it just a e mail glitch.?

There is a spot blaster kit showing on the website for Thursday's Specialbuys with the following description:
    Spot Blaster Kit £9.99

Air and abrasive sand combine together to clean areas of rust, paint and contaminated surfaces. Includes:
    • Toughened steel nozzle
    • Canvas recycle bag
    • 4 rubber nozzles for flat panel/edge blasting
    • 1kg of recyclable aluminium oxide abrasive
    Product reference: 4093

I think this might be what you were after.

    hi, thanks

    yes that's the one.

its not come through on mine though on the email alert that they have sent

it shows a pic of the compressor and 9 boxes underneath 8 of the boxes has a air tool in it and 1 box is blank, the blaster is not shown anymore. ill call in anyway on Thursday and see if there in stock, perhaps its just a glitch.

just looked on the aldi web site and its listed there, but not on the alert e mail they have sent out to me. internet gremlins.

That sounds a bit drastic to treat a spot, I don't think my DD will be trying that! ( sorry I'll get my coat!)

It is cheaper that way, not factoring on of course electric :)

I "think" the oats are around 79p for a kilo and the ready brek they sell is around £1.15 for aboutish 700g

I bought the fresh meatballs from Lidl this week, I have no idea how to cook them,, are they just like mince? Help please

I've just chucked mine in the slow cooker with some pasta sauce. I hope they don't turn to mush.

I just fry my balls in a little oil, (cheeky, I know what your thinking ;)) and I flatten them slightly with the spatula so they look like mini burgers and then its easier to cook evenly and turn over.
