Perhaps it's testament to the quality of there products that I could find so much worth buying“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -

Friend is tightening the belt this month - told her to try swapping her Tesco shop for Aldi.
Response "Ooh no. I can't shop there. I know I buy value stuff, but at least they deliver it."
The Aldi/Lidl factor still have a long way to go with a lot of consumers. Granted the delivery is a bonus for some, but she's a SAHM. She has time in the day to push a trolley with a 2 year old round a shop!
Just doesn't compute with me...Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Back to the subject - does Aldi sell evaporated milk and if so, is it any good? I feel a rice pudding coming on.....Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Do Lidl or Aldi make a product similar to Calgon? I forgot to look.
.
Not Aldi/Lidl but the cheapest Calgon is Sainsburys own. Their Calgon powder is £2.19 for a 1kg box or 45 tablets for £4.10.
Asda don't do their own either/This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

And all I did was query whether you'd been stocking up or had a large family to cater for as I would find it difficult to spend £70 in Aldi.
But I suppose if you feel berated then I apologise chameleon.0 -

Thank you. We all do things differently and I'm the type of person who doesn't have a set shopping day per week or month. I just pick up whatever I need/want at the time. I probably did get a little carried away this time but it's really hard not to when they have so much great produce. I possibly could have spent even more as I didn't even look at the freezer section having had my meat delivery earlier that day so my freezer was full to bursting :rotfl:
I should imagine my future visits there will be more of a top-up of bits I need on a more frequent basis. I'll certainly be popping in to pick up some more wine this week“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0
