If it was last night it was tea ;)

Nah, down south we have breakfast, lunch & then dinner & perhaps some supper later if peckish. Tea is for Sundays when the family are round & usually consists of sandwiches, cakes etc. & eaten after lunch but before supper. :o
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

I agree, I really struggled to spend my £5 off £40 voucher about a month ago so ended up filling the trolley with snacks. I've put on 1/2 stone since then :o

Whereas this week it would have been really handy because I bought so many plants. Note to self: gotta watch out for household bargains rather than food.

    :naughty:

I can see it would be a huge problem without transport but when I last had a voucher I bought loads of storecupboard stuff like tomatoes, passata, pasta, rice.

I meant to say that I've also got the olive tree (as well as a bay, rosemary and lavender)from Aldi. I thinks it's two or three years old. At £14.99, they make lovely gifts as well as treating yourself.;)

We're down south and we have breakfast, lunch and supper. Dinner is special when you go out or have people round and put on extra courses!

I should have put tea as that's what it was called when growing up, breakfast before school, and we had dinner time at school, home in time for tea, supper before bedtime.:)

Recommend Moments dark Chocolate biscuits (79p) a reasonable and cheap replacement for Leibniz Butter Biscuits (Bahlsen).

I'd recommend the frozen galic and herb tempura battered basa fillets (either £1.79 or £2.79 for two; can't remember which).

Yesterday I went to Aldi and I spent £22 - including 3 bottles of wine. That is the most I spent without buying specials like mini chopper, fleece PJ top, rice cooker etc.

    Re transport.
We do have a family car, but I don't drive it, so if my son can't take me to Aldi, I use my three wheeler trike, it's amazing how much can go on the luggage rack with the help of a couple of karabiner clips attached to the saddle.

As a disabled person, it's a far better option for shopping than a mobility scooter - and I get some exercise! I know of two others on my little town but would love to see more.

I also have a granny trolley, the push in front type. In pre-arthritis days I used the pull-behind type.

Re flavourless mash. For any type of mash, add a spoonful of mustard. I prefer wholegrain, from Aldi, naturally. Completely changes the taste of it.

The dishwasher tablets from both Aldi and Lidl did well in tests conducted by Which, linky.

I buy the dishwasher salt from Lidl as cheapest Ive found so far, although Ive not looked how much it is in Aldi.
