Thanks for all the lovely comments about the nursery :) and thank you for the link re MAM bottles mrsexcited. I was planning on getting those so I will order some I think.

Just got back from swimming, it was nice but I realised how unfit I have gotten when the old people kept swimming past me! :p I felt so heavy when I got out of the water! I got a taxi down there but decided I felt ok enough to walk the 30 mins back. I managed it but I'm shattered now!

    xx

I used to merrily do 40 lengths of my local pool most weekdays. I'm lucky if I can manage 20 once a week these days! It's not about being unfit, emsbet! You're keeping two hearts beating, not one. That takes a lot of blood and oxygen. Pregnancy is not a time to be pushing yourself.

    Re: Nurse.
When I was in hospital with the boys the nurse took out my IV and it fell to the floor she went to walk out. My sister who is also a nurse (not at that hospital) noticed and said that I needed another drug so they went to put the same IV back. Thankfully my sister was on the ball and took them aside.

Despite the circumstances which I understand are awkward for the nurses etc involved our midwife was awful and just told me to stop making so much noise and generally putting me down. (!!!!!! I was going through labour (twice) knowing I wasn't going to take a baby home with me and she was yelling at me )

That's just awful! I can't believe the midwife would say that, especially to someone going through what you did.

Emsbet Your nursery looks lovely :)

Miss Money Hope things get moving soon for you :)

MrsManda Wow at 8 minute labour

Fluffnutter Once again your way with words made me giggle :D

(((hugs)))) to all those who felt pants yesterday - hope today is treating you all much better :)

Exactly 3 weeks today and I will have a baby :eek:

One of my cats is doing my head in today. I openly admit he is my least favourite cat (but DS's favourite so I cope with it lol) but he is a pain in the backside. I have been trying to rearrange the kitchen this morning so have had all the appliances off the side, cleaned units down and started to rearrange things so that I can make space for steriliser etc. Chewy (the pain in backside cat) has insisted on jumping on the units the second my back is turned after they have just been cleaned (this happened 4 times), crying to get out back door then crying to be let back in two minutes later and then bringing a bird in as (I guess) some kind of wierd peace offering, letting it go in kitchen then chasing it round so that I ended up with feathers all over the place.....:mad::mad: My other two don't behave like this so why does he have to :o

Anyways, am having a brew now (albeit in the cold as the back door is open) and calming down ;)

Oh I understand that but I haven't really done any exercise since I was made redundant as I'm not walking to and from the station any more so that hasn't helped.

  • Aaahhhh Jovi, Chewy just wanted to bring you a present to show he loves you! Maybe he senses you like him the least, that's why he made such an effort to get you a bird! My cat used to bring in mice and worms as presents, now she has got into the habit of bringing us her favourite toy at gone 10pm each night! It's an orange fish on the end of a stick so when she gets it we can hear the stick part dragging across the floor!
Kitten the way you were treated is disgusting, glad your sister was on hand to look after you though x
Emsbet well done you! I used to be heavily into fitness before I got pregnant but everything is such an effort now (even just going for a walk!) so I tend to just take it easy most days!

the MW has been. she said that the baby's head couldn't be any lower if it tried! hah! she reckons Baby will be here by saturday. My response was "yeah right!" I asked how big the baby feels 'cos Millie was 8lbs12 and Maddie was 8lbs8. she said Ive got an awful lot of water (which surprised me loads 'cos i'm a lot smaller than i was with both girls) BUT I'm perfectly happy that she reckons about 8lbs If not a tad smaller. The MW was quite excited about the diarrhea. she said that If I hadn't gone into labour by monday then I can have a sweep a week today. Sooooo if baby doesn't show up by due date then 23rd Im having a in her words "A good old rummage around in there!" to get things moving! lol

Seriously anyone want a dog? I may have to consider rehoming the batty brown jr. His escape antics are not amusing me in the slightest anymore. he got out again just before the MW got here. How I dont know as every hole I've ever come across Ive blocked up, but next door he was again.... soooo I had to unblock some of the holes to get him back.. and I can't block them up again as it means bending down in awkward positions and heaving heavy stones around. he's in his crate whining now and I could quite cheerfully throttle him!

Miss Money I will swap your dog for my cat :p

Miss Monkey Moo I don't want to dislike him but he's a very hard cat to love sometimes :o He has a tendancy to try and sleep on the kitchen units which drives me mad, bullies the other two cats whenever he sees them settled somewhere (he jumps on them to wake them up and chases them away even though there is no need) and is well, how can I put it nicely... a muppet most of the time :o I wouldn't mind but he is older than the other two by two years - he should know better ;)

Here I was merrily reading your post, hearing how the midwife was going to have a good old rummage around, until I got to your next sentence...

I totally misread it as 'Seriously anyone want a GO?' and thought for a moment you were inviting us all to come round and root around up your chuff :rotfl:
