Ok here are photos of the nursery:
It's a bit of a squeeze in our little box room but I'm sure baby won't mind.
This is the reason we are limited in space, but I didn't want to get rid of all the shelves. I'm planning on getting some nice storage boxes to put bits and bobs in.
The two teddies at the top we mine and DH's when we were little. I thought it would be nice to have them in baby's room
It's obviously not finished and we may try and re-arrange it a little.

Morning all :hello:
Huge hugs to BB (although great baby has turned) and to everyone one else feling down :grouphug: - hope today is a better day.
I feel very pregnant todayI'm really going to miss this bump - although I am now getting stupidly excited about meeting my little man! I've put on just over two stone since falling pregnant, not a surprise as cakes and biscuits have become my best friend
Not worried a jot as once baby here, I'll re-join slimming world which has worked very well for me in the past.
A much quieter day for me today, need to pop to post office again (have made £62 in ebay sales over last few days :j) and then will nip and see my nana then my grandad. Then a relaxing afternoon on the sofa is definately in order!
Take care

I'm loving the nursery photos Emsbet :j
At the moment, all babies clothes are strewn over the chair in nursery waiting to be washed - once I've done that, I'll post up some pictures tooMFW!

Oh Emsbet it looks really lovely. I see what you mean about all the shelves, but they'll be so useful for all the stuff that baby needs. And the teddies are adorable too
Morning Triangle, well done on the Ebay sales. Have loads here I will try and put on before long too. Glad you've got a relaxing afternoon planned after all your painting.:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Emsbet it looks lovely hun. Those shelves are great. So far our nursery is full of babies stuff but needs organising, new carpet, painting, the curtains altering (I've got cream curtains and I'm going to add a jungle border on them) there is just a yellow patch on one wall where I've used a tester pot lol.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx

*hugs to everyone who had a rough day yesterday* hope today goes much better.
LMM - hope you managed to get some work done. I'm determined to do some work this morning and not get distracted though not sure that'll last long ;-)
Ikkle - lots of hugs. Could you speak to your obstetrician and see if s/he can sort you out with a 20 week scan? They may have more clout and as fluffnutter said, in England at least a 20 week scan is standard and recommended by NICE. Future scans are irrelevant.
BB - at least baby's out of breech so you'll hopefully be able to have a normal birth. In terms of measuring heart beat I've had it done a few times and have always been told I'd only be there an hour and have ended up being in hospital 4 hours minimum. The monitoring itself doesn't take long - my hospital looks for a 20 minute uninterrupted reading which at 22 weeks was a nightmare because baby moved too much so it took 2 hours whereas at 30 weeks it took 20 minutes but all the doctors were in theatre/busy dealing with ladies in labour so had to wait to be checked. May be much quicker as you're having them regularly because you may just need a midwife to OK it.
Anaesthetist appointment went well yesterdayHe was really nice and seemed very competent so despite the fact he contradicted everyone else so far I'm inclined to trust his judgement and my OH agreed. His idea for my birth plan is to use gas and air as soon as I get to the hospital but if it isn't working, or I start feeling tired or stressed in any way I should ask for an epidural - regardless of what stage of labour I'm in. - Yup I know everyone else has said an epidural is a bad idea but he reckons I just need a lower dose than normal.
His view is that I need the most stress free labour I can have in order to reduce the chances of an emergency C-section/seizures/requirement for brain surgery (the last one is a bit extreme but at the far end of possible) and an epidural is the answer.
Plus if I need an emergency c-section and have an epidural in place they can just up the dose a little rather than doing a spinal block as apparently it's the spinal block which could be most dangerous for me. Without an epidural they'd have to go much deeper into my back than usual to place the spinal block and use a much much lower dose and hope it works.
Seeing the obstetrician Friday to ensure this is all details in big bold letters in my notes so no one tries to argue with me (and thus increase my stress levels) once I'm in labour then seeing the midwife next week to confirm details as well.
Friday = 37 weeks so baby can arrive any time after my appointment though I'd rather he waited until Saturday so he doesn't share a birthday with my cousin. However I'm generally of the opinion he's going to stay in there as long as he can. I'm focusing on the fact that baring anything going wrong (:() I'll have baby cuddles within 5 weeks.
Right, back to studying *hugs*0 -
emsbet your nursery look beautiful! I'm not surprised you kept the shelving unit as its really good to have lots of shelves to stick stuff on
BB really pleased for you that baby has turnedxxx
Ickle i hope you're feeling a bit brighter this morningHus to you xxx
MrsManda As long as you're kept stress free, thats the most important part so an epidural sounds very sensible under the circumstanceshave a ((hug)) too
well.. my midwife text me this morning, she had me down for today in her diary... so she will be here at 11.30.

Diarrhea can be a sign that your body is getting ready for labour - theory being it's emptying everything out so it's not in the way while you're pushing (also makes labour less icky).
Does the midwife always visit you at home?0 -

My body had an almight clear out the other day and i thought "this is it" I have given up of the baby ever deciding to vacate the womb!!!
She started seeing me at home from 36 weeks due to my spd. I just can't manage to get to the dr's on my own. so she included me on her community rounds
in even happier news the nursery has agreed to pick maddie up for me tomorrow and take her to nusery for me as it's their "sponsored toddle waddle" and she has to be there early. My pain killers won't have kicked in so did't think I'd be able to get her there. She's very pleased lolBad mother to 2!
