Argh can't sleep. Had sex for first time in two weeks as oh was sick. Was amazing u would think I'd be exhausted but I'm wide awake. I can't get comfy. My legs are restless and my back hurts. I'm so tired but can't seem

Well everyone, it was labour after all. Nightmare car journey with killer contractions coming every 3 or 4 minutes. Was in hospital for 11.30, epidural (after 4 attempts) at about 1.30. Sick multiple times on floor, shoes etc due to gas and air.

God invented epidurals! Managed to snooze for about 3 hours, watched pointless, eggheads and great British Menu. Then was told I was 10cm, happy days!

Unfortunately I could not push the baby out so was whipped in to theatre, had spinal block and episiotomy and forceps. Was v scary, but totally worth it.

I had a little girl at 11.15pm, just under 8lbs. We decided to call her R!oghnach which is an Irish name pronounced sort of like Raina.
Am besotted!!

Emsbet one of the fb ladies recommended a book as I asked the same. Its called 'your baby week by week' by Simone cave. It tells you how many nappies dirty and wet how many feeds. Average sleep what's going on with their development and you in a week by week section. I have only just got it but has helped put mine and oh at ease re how often LO feeds and doesn't sleep. And big hurrah for team blue :-)

Congratulations hun. Hope I don't offend but that name is actually pronounced in Gaelic as ri-oh-na. Like Fiona but with an r. It means queen in Gaelic which is very pretty

Lmm - it's to do with my past medical history chicken, but it's extra peeks so I'm happy They let us listen to heartbeat which was nice, also reassuring cos it let me know I'd been listening to the right thing at home x
