I knew nothing about superhero films before I got together with OH (bar obvious ones like Superman and Spiderman lol). What you said above was one of the reasons I haven't seen Capt America. Normally OH goes through the routine of 'selling' a film to me and my stock response is normally 'ok, what does he/she do?. So for instance, Thor: He has a really big magic hammer (cool), Ironman: He made a suit that flies and is practically indestructable (nice) and so on and so on... with Capt America, the conversation was:
Me: ok, so what does he do?
OH: he's captain america
Me: Yes, but what does he DO?
OH: (looks blank) well, he umm, he's Captain America, he's cool
So I know he is American.... Me lost interest :rotfl:0 -
jovichick like i said he had a stupid shield and a silly hat! I found the devil looking nazi's more exciting tbh. i commented to the oh, they tried harder with the baddies than the comic book hero!Bad mother to 2!

Captain America joined the long list of films I've fallen asleep in the middle of. I have a good record of seeing 25 minutes of a DVD only.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

I DO need gaviscon so shall get that with the cc.. And I also need high energy snacks for labour. I will be getting jelly beans and those lucuzade tab sweets... but does anyone else have any suggestions for snacks? that wont make me puke?
I don'r recommend those fabulous baking boys flapjacks... I got them and it was like eating playdough. Stuff my ante natal classes telling us not to do Mars Bars or Snickers like on OBEM... I'd have preferred the Snickers - and I hate Snickers.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

Er.....no idea on snacks really. Are bananas recommended for labour. Used to snack on them at work when energy levels were dropping, guess you can't really pack them in advance tho. Some kind or cereal bars that you know you'll like?:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j
