    Afternoon :)
Turtlemoose: Sorry to hear about your bad hospital experience, hope you get home soon.
Alizee: Good that you're dilated,Pleased that one of us is moving somewhere, hope you become a mummy soon! You have the same induction date as me next week but sounds like you'll be mum before then
Nutella: Good luck with the induction

Well my 40 + 6 update, had midwife appointment at hospital today, she tried to do another sweep but said my cervix was posterior so she couldnt reach it, so bit of a waste of time really! Going back on Monday for 3rd sweep, and then booked in for induction next Thursday if baby doesnt arrive before. Really dont want to be induced but it's nice to know that the end is near and I will be a mum by the end of next week. Also midwife said I should still be able to have my water birth even if I am induced which is good.
Had my urine tested and I have a water infection, I dont think I have any symptoms of one and my urine was only tested 5 days ago so obviously a recent infection. Got week of antibiotics to take to clear it and they have sent a sample off to lab to make sure its nothing more.

ok so this is my labour tea recipe that i was given last time around - tried this and a bit of sexytime so who knows what did it!

To a pan of one litre of water, add one cinnamon stick, 10 cloves and a 2cm piece of fresh ginger. simmer for 15 minutes, then add 5 drops of lemon verbena oil. add honey to sweeten and drink.

Well, I suppose if it doesn't start you contracting, you can just enjoy the vomiting instead... Sounds vile :D

I can't bring my child into a world that smells of Christmas in June. Imagine the confusion!

:rotfl: I'm due in September so slightly nearer Christmas. I guess the neighbours will just think I've lost the plot. I can imagine OH would love it though, he's into these kind of drinks. Thank you Mummy of two but what is lemon verbena oil and where would you get it?

Nutella good luck for tonight!! Could have three MSE babies by tomorrow :D
Hannah sorry your sweep was unsuccessful. At least you've a goal to aim for. Hope things start before induction though.
Emsbet I know what you mean. OH is really working hard and then I'm sat on my bum all day, mainly gossiping on here. I'm lucky as he's told me he doesn't want me to do anything, but that I should rest. I feel quite lazy really and guilty, but I'm learning what my limitations are. I had a busy day yesterday so today I've been dong some uni stuff, but is a nice sit down job at least. I'll be mad if i spend another 18 weeks sat on my bum. I'll have a big pressure sore too. I'm lucky that he is so laid back, to be fair our house is always chaos never been like a palace. I'm trying to cook dinner though even if I do nowt else, again lucky me as at lunch OH requested we have toasties for tea.....easy peasy :D Sure didn't tell him i was plannig meat pie lol. Have you seen the new syrup weetabix? I really fancy them :p
Miss Money you're really determined to get things moving. What is this bouncing? Do you literally just sit on the ball and bounce? I'm writing a list of all these tips for when it's my turn eek:

There's some info on birthing balls and exercises here LMM.

I've seen the syrup weetabix but don't really fancy it. I like mine the old fashioned way, with sugar and milk :)

I'm considering starting a company making birthing space hoppers... would be much more fun as a way of getting the baby out.
