Bellola, when I was working I took time off for appointments and didn't worry about paying time back. If it was only an hour I would however a GTT takes a good few hours so I took that as a day appointment and didn't worry about it.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

I had horrific stretch marks with my first, from my boobs to my thighs they were bright red and my hubby used to call them my tiger stripes ! Nothing seemed to ease them and i had been rubbing moisturiser into my skin from early on and religiously from when the first one appeared.
Im now getting the odd one appear again (how is that fair !?! lol) but not holding out much hope of keeping them at bay.
As for baby groups, I didnt think they were all that important until ours reached school age and I could see the mums and kids that had formed bonds from playing together at each others houses etc and knowing each other for the few years from baby group to nursery. It made it tougher to get on friendly terms with them, but then i live in a small ish town and its perhaps not as important if they are a few schools/groups they may go to.
Ive spent a lovely day sorting out baby clothes from our loft, in the words of my delicate hubby "we have a !!!! load" and im under strict instructions not to buy any more ! to be fair I agree with my OH on this as I have 3 boxes+ that are 0-3 months, the house now smells of baby which is lovely and looking at all the special clothes brought back precious memories of when my boys were little. (good job tonight as they being little !!!!!!s)
hope you are all well, i have a belly full of chinese so slobbing on the sofa for me tonight ready for the ApprenticeBow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -

I'm so jealous emsbet! Each time we try baby moves. It's obviously a stubborn thing like its mother! But yay for your DH!
Thanks for the work advice all. So good to have knowledgable ladies at hand for every query!0 -

Emsbet that is great. I am grinning for you.
Ladyboyd stops kicking the moment DH gets close, although I don't think he would be able to feel it yet.
I don't know if anyone else does this but OH said that when I was pregnant with the boys and asleep he used to spoon me and rub my tummy, the boys would then kick him and he said he liked having that time with them of a morning, it helped him to bond.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

We just end up chasing baby round. The midwife had the same problem searching for the heartbeat. Baby knows so moves on purpose I'm sure of it!0

How's Poppy doing jannine? I miss all you ladies posting on the newborn thread now you've all disappeared to the fb group instead
xx
She's doing super well thanks! Gaining weight very nicely now and her Consultant is thrilled with her progress since being discharged from the SCBU. She is going through a slightly whingy stage at the moment and wants entertaining at all times!! She also seems to have an inbuilt sensor for my favourite tv programmes - as soon as they start she starts to cry!
Hope your doing well and your LO is well behaved for your next scan!

P.S Did anybody watch that Great Ormond Street programme last night on BBC2? I watched it today and it was heartbreaking, it was all about children who have cancer. We've really been through it with Poppy, but watching this programme really made me count my blessings (and I shed a good few tears).:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

He didn't know what it was to start with, he thought it was me breathing- not sure what kind of breathing he thought I was doing, especially as it was so low down! When I said "no that was the baby" a big grin spread across his face
