Congratulations Jenny! :j I'd like to order a birth like that please. Oh wait... does that mean we have to DTD? That's the last thing I feel like right now! :o

Hi everybody, I'm a long time forum stalker and finally got the guts to register and post.
Congrats to all the mummys to be in this thread and to jennynoo on the birth of her little boy :)
I'm 20 weeks pregnant today with my first munchkin heehee and we have our scan on Thurs- I am SO excited to find out if I should be buying blue or pink!
Really random question I have but just been to Tescos and they have an offer on Buy One Get Two Free on pampers baby wipes packs of 64, priced at something like £2.65. Is this a good deal? Or could we do better just getting own brand? Already stocking up on everything as budget is verrryy tight!
    Thanks for your advice!

Pampers Sensitive are our favourite wipes and all I buy now. Huggies = crap.

Although I wouldn't stock up too much, maybe 2 packs of each to see which will suit your baby. I know some mums on the parent thread can't use anything but Huggies because baby is allergic. So not very MSE to stock up and then not be able to use them. If money is tight perhaps buying gift vouchers for Boots or the Supermarkets, that way you can buy what suits when baby arrives. Congrats xxx

i second that on the huggies - totally rubbish, they break a lot which is really not helpful when you are in a Poomageddon situation. same with the nappies, i dont even think its gender, rubbish on both my son and daughter. asda had some really good offers on their own multipacks of wipes yesterday - i really recommend their own brand, great on the family budget too
Jenny - what a fabulous birth story! and to be out in the park too, good on you missus. I cast a vote for Brody, unusual but not silly!

Milliebob, welcome and congratulations! Just to add to what Gilly has said - I did quite a lot of stocking up early on, but have since discovered that most things are on offer somewhere at any given point. So I still pick up things that are free or ridiculously cheap with vouchers, but I've stopped buying things that are BOGOF, half price or similar. Between them, the major supermarkets plus Boots always seem to have wipes, nappies etc. on offer - so once you know what suits your LO chances are you'll be able to find that on offer somewhere.

I got four boxes of pampers sensitive the day after the asda baby event ended in clearance for £5 a box!!

My daughter couldn't tolerate any others except pampers sensitive( our favorite), Huggies pure (too thick and tear) and tesco own brand sensitive which were false economy cos they were thin you had to use more.

U should buy one of each to see what your baby likes. My little one had very sensitive skin. :)
love you lots like jelly tots :o
