We've got a Ewan, it's really good. There is the heartbeat, a lullaby, and it lights up. Only problem is I have a fear of sheep and it looks a bit scary to me lol.

Only problem with bank holidays is because I'm off work it's just like every other day for me, only most people have it off too so I thought maybe someone would want to do something with me and spend a bit of time with me but alas no so it looks like I'm stuck in till OH gets home from work at 8pm tonight :(
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

Bellola, they do feel stronger at times but often still feel like aftershocks but I think that's because he's kicking behind my placenta. This morning though they definitely felt stronger because they were at the side and they felt so much more like kicks :)

    xx

Emsbet, Bellola and Cheetara, thank you for the due date wishes! :) Can't believe this day's finally arrived - I've been fully expecting to go over my due date as that's what happens with most first babies, but it's a milestone nevertheless. Oh, and it means I will definitely have a baby by the end of next week! :T

Kittycat, your OH's attempt at being diplomatic made me laugh! :rotfl:

BB, B&Q have a bank holiday offer on where if you spend more than £100 you get 20% off, so if you need other DIY stuff too, today might be a good day to stock up :) Happy painting!

Emsbet, yay for kicks and punches! :j

Cheetara, very wise words re. ice cream :D

Rjh, I swear by Bhs for towels - they're really good quality and last for ages. They're a bit more expensive, but worth it. My local store has lots of reduced bathroom stuff at the moment, so there may well be bargains to be had. Having said that, I've been pleasantly surprised by the quality of Primark towels. I had very low expectations when I first tried them, but they're actually pretty good (and cheap!).

Miss Money, hope you're feeling better this morning ((hugs))

Apologies if I've missed anyone out, can I blame baby brain?...

It's amazing to not have to get up and go to work! Have still been up since 6 though as OH has gone out for the day. Have scrubbed the kitchen from top to bottom, cleaned the living room and vacuumed the downstairs. Now just had a cupcake and catching up on a bit of Jeremy Kyle. Can't wait for maternity leave when I can do this every day!

I can definitely recommend maternity leave - assuming you're not in too much pain, it really is an unbeatable combination of nesting, cake and crap TV! :T

Nutella - happy due date :D
emsbet- glad you are feeling little one kicking :)

My back has been really hurting again :( kept me awake and now im up it feels like someone has elctrodes near my kidneys and i want to curl up and cry! someone mentioned it could be getting ready for labour, I really hope so 'cos this pain isn't good!! last 2 pregnancies I had horrific period pain and I "knew" i was going into labour!
so i went to the fridge this morning to do breakfast, to find there was a scraping of butter left. oh hadnt bought anymore  so gave the kids that on their ham toasties and I had to resort to melting down an easter egg and having choccy spread on my toast, as there was no jam or butter or cereal to eat!!! oh then came downstairs and asked "wheres my breakfast?!" the cheek of it. told him to fiond his own mish mash of rubbish to eat! hahaha. :)
hope everyone is ok :) xxxx

Happy due date Nutella "has anything started yet." ;)
RJH we got some asda towels, like their version of finest that are very soft and fluffy. Primark are very decent too, we've had a lot from there.
Ikkle I've heard of this sheep and the giraffe. Where do you get sheep from?
Emsbet glad LO is really active after your worries the other day :D
Hugs for your back Miss Money hope you can rest a bit after your rough night.
BB hope you enjoy your painting and choosing paint colours.
Had a bit of a rough night here with hip pain then heartburn about 5, think was the late dinner. The cat decided to sneak upstairs and plonk herself on my belly at some ungodly hour and spent most of the night there. Obv OH isn't as comfy lol. OH said "I heard you crying and groaning in the night, but I couldn't help because I was asleep" haha what can you say to that? Still OH has gone to make toast so will laze in bed watching some tv for a bit :) ooh LO must have heard there is food coming he's started wriggling about. So his father's son! :)
