Well bank holiday in Cardiff looks like a wash out. On the plus side I slept all night whoop

On downside my daughter made my cry. She came to wake mr. Aside " I want my daddy I don't like you anymore" really annoyed me. She hasn't spoken to him in over 2 weeks. Selfish !!!!.

Well I have a one month old today... when was my due date again? Oh yeah - a fortnight's time... that feels very very odd.

Morning all, welcome to kittycat, BCS and any others I may have missed :wave:

Had a lovely day yesterday at my best friend's mum's 60th. Ate lots of cake! Made a bit of an effort and wore a dress and makeup(!) and got lots of nice compliments about my bump Definitely looking heavily pregnant now! Although a lot of people are saying things like "I bet you can't wait to not be pregnant any more aren't you?" and my honest answer is...no! Despite my various aches and pains I still love being pregnant, and will miss my bump so much. Also I think because the house is not ready, I don't feel emotionally ready to have the baby yet...hopefully that will change over the next few weeks though as at the moment I just can't imagine being a mummy!

Well, got a day of painting ahead of us today, plus a visit to B&Q to buy paint (if we can decide on colours!) I'm so excited that the loft is nearly done, starting to get a bit stressed out now by the house being in chaos. Can't wait to get the baby's room done and start unpacking all the boxes of clothes and other bits that we've accumulated over the past few months.

Someone (rjh?) was asking about drop-side cots. We've got this one:

although bought it second-hand. Seems nice quality from what I've seen so far (haven't put it together yet). Still need to get a mattress for it too.

Ooh - I've bought a Ewan the Dream Sheep for my friend's new baby. Ordered it online so haven't got it yet, but can't wait to see what it's like. I really want one for myself!

Right, better go do something useful with myself, those walls won't get painted by themselves!

Happy due date nutella

BB, I'm going to get Ewan too, I've heard great things about it!

Baby was kicking lots this morning and at the side instead at the front so I could feel him loads. At one point I could feel a kick at the side then another movement at the front which I think could have been a punch. It was great been able to feel the kicks so strongly. Unfortunately DH was still asleep so he missed it again

I slept! With almost no pain!!! I only had to get up 3 times and that was for the loo :T Back to work tomorrow so hoping this continues... I hope everyone else got a good night's sleep too.

BB - I know exactly what you mean, despite the pains and niggles I love being pregnant and will miss my bump. Not least because I like having a big tummy that wasn't caused entirely by cakes and pie! Dread to think what it's going to look like once baby has vacated uterus and what's left is all me :eek:
rjh - I'd probably have cried too but I'm sure your DD doesn't mean it *hug*

Emsbet - it's such a lovely reassuring feeling when they kick the carp out of you isn't it? mine used to stop as soon as anyone else tried to feel for ages. Now you can see her kicking my phone up if I rest it on my bump playing Draw Something hehe (which is way too adictive).

Fingers crossed for some new baby news from the boldies soon.

Morning everyone! I love bank holiday mondays. It's amazing to not have to get up and go to work! Have still been up since 6 though as OH has gone out for the day. Have scrubbed the kitchen from top to bottom, cleaned the living room and vacuumed the downstairs. Now just had a cupcake and catching up on a bit of Jeremy Kyle. Can't wait for maternity leave when I can do this every day!

Glad baby is showing you he's about Emsbet! Do you feel like the kicks have got stronger? The last few days mine definitely have and last night when I was in the bath I'm sure I saw some movement, it was like a ripple across my tummy!

BB I'm the complete opposite. I can't wait to not be pregnant! I really haven't enjoyed the last few months. It's difficult feeling crap and not being able to do anything about it. I'm not really a fan of my bump (just looking really podgy) and I'm hating the backache, period pain feeling and everything else! Cannot wait for baby to arrive in September then I intend to have between September and Christmas focusing on eating better, taking baby out for walks and losing some weight so I can look good at Xmas!

I know she didn't mean it it's justso annoyingcos her dad doesn't give a poo. He Skypes every three weeks or so and doesn't talk to her in between. I don't even have a phone number for him cos he broke his phone.ridiculous. Anyway she going to stay with him for a week in a few weeks and that's the last time he will see her until January as he won't make the effort and I'm fed up with making all the effort. Think she getting to the age now where she starting to realize that he's not about.

Sorry for yet another rant lol.


Gonna try get some cleaning done this morning and maybe take dd out for a swim as its raining and try out my new tankini eeek. Not convinced my boobs are gonba stay in it lol. Also gonna gofer a maternity dressing gown cos I have decided I need one lol.

Anyone know anywhere that Is good for towels? Web I say good I mean cheap lol. I have inherited all my current ones so no idea what they cost?

Re cot. Found a couple of drop side. Oh sister is buying ours but I think I might get it second hand and just a new mattress.

Kicks - baby boy kicking crap out of me. I never remember kicks being so rough with my daughter lol. I tend toget kicked in ribs and punched in cervix or belly button. not the most comfortable but loving feeling him. I love him so much already. Lol
