Lovely to see you over here. You won't know me but I recall reading your story on one of the threads, I think you are incredibly brave and if you are having an emotional time of it right now, it's completely understandable. Feel free to vent anytime :o Have you had your 20 week scan yet? Will you be finding out the flavour?

Emsbet She was a cowbag :) It was a normal chocolate one but I also have stocks of mint, caramel and white choc ones so might have to devour another one soon :p Mmmmm at the cheese and ham toasties, they are my favourite at the moment :)

Think I may have to go carry on with my sorting out the crap fom the bedrooms before I'm tempted to eat anything else! How is it possible that I'm still hungry?!

    Hi Jovi,

Thanks for the support, we are having 4 weekly scans at the moment and may increase when we get into the 30s. So far at our 18week scan it looks like a girl but will confirm in a couple of weeks.

Cheese and ham toasties sound lovely, I only have bread in so will stick to the toast but am no considering a trip to the co op for ham and cheese :D

I had a panic on last night when I thought OH had used all the cheese but managed to find a pack of cathedral city I bought at weekend, was seriously contemplating going to Tesco's at 10.30pm last night if we had none :p

Sounds like they are looking after you with the scans :) I was convinced I was having a girl for the first few months but at 20 weeks LO was not exactly shy about showing his wares IYSWIM :p

I have been convinced from the start that it is a girl due to completely different symptoms, plus we missed ovulation by a couple of days. Our consultant says that he is 90% certain that it is a girl but wants to check at the next scan.

Either way she will wearing boys clothes for the 1st 3 months. Don't think she will be scared by wearing baby grows with trucks on the front :D

hello - been lurking on here for ages - I did post a while ago but didn't get put on the list, and have only been lurking since.

I'm 35+6 (due 30th May) and had a horrible visit to the midwife this morning, just want to have a bit of a vent :'(

I conceived as soon as we started trying (came off pill after 10+ yrs and only ovulated the once!), and my pregnancy has (apart from a few little niggles, nothing major) been great. I know loads of people have a really rough time so I've been soooooo grateful that I've had an easy go of it.

I guess everything going so smoothly has left me totally unprepared for the double whammy the midwife gave me this morning - that baby has dropped below average growth so she wants an immediate growth scan, and also that baby has gone from head down (4/5) only 12 days ago, to now being breech and she wants me in for a scan for that - with ECV (if scan confirms) and caesarean if ECV doesn't work.

The scan is tomorrow at 3 for both the growth and to confirm breech - and I'm absolutely devastated. I know it sounds really stupid and illogical, and I know there's loads of things that could be much worse, but for some reason I just can't stop being ridiculously upset about it - and of course terrified that baby isn't ok (why not growing) etc.

My blood pressure has gone up from 110/60 in early preg to now being 138/93 - and it's no coincedence that this started to rise just after I submitted my application to an employment tribunal for sexual discrimination after how appallingly I've been treated at work, and my employer has made things even more difficult - and my BP has risen and risen ever since.

The midwife now says as my BP is high (and there's not anything I can do to reduce it) if it goes higher in labour then I will HAVE to have an epidural - something I really wanted to avoid.

I don't really know what I expect people to say (if anything!), I just feel really cr*ppy and I'm so worried about the scan (midwife said firmly PACK YOUR BAG TONIGHT JUST IN CASE!) and my head is just reeling at the thought of natural birth may mean epidural, and that a caesarean may be on the cards - both things I wasn't even really considering as slightly likely :(

    Hello everyone :)
Welcome to the thread Kitten :) I'm sorry you are having trouble walking, I feel your pain as I'm now 37+1 and have been using a wheel chair since (i can't actually remember :o ) It's been a long time! It does drive you batty at times. I'm sorry to hear of your loss ( I haven't read your other threads so forgive me) but have a (((hug)))

I'm another one who can't stop eating today...Ive had a huge bowl of cheerios, 3 packets of walkers crisps  countless ice cubes.. :o I have a thing for them at the mo... A large pie and chips and some choccy :o eeep. Mw is coming between 3-5 to see me and Ive got to tell her I found some fresh blood on my pad,,, I think this could be some show? also ) TMI time)... baby's head is RIGHT down now.. ph being ahem :o affectionate and said "boody hell i can feel her head!" so... :o erm bang went the affection and in came the weird curiosity!!! I can deffinatly feel the difference in bh's now too... they go all over bump and into my foo and my bottom too

I gave up with over/under bump trousers as they both drove me mad! I ionstead went for cheap size 18 leggings from asda that i can slip on under my mat dresses :) the over bump ones slipped down after a while and the under bump ones were digging in.. so the leggings manage to stay up :)

Also on another tangent here can i get some opinions? its about eldest dd (7). She is no angel but not badly behaved.... anyway her dad has her every other weekend and picked her up from after school club (where i work) on friday evening brought her home and garbled something about her having to make an apology card for another child.. but he didnt go into detail and i thought theyd do it together at the weekend. Im on the notts/derbys boarder hes in somerset, the kids go every other weekend. I dont have any input when they are there due to distance etc...
Anyway he came back sunday evening saying they hadnt had time to do it. by the time they got back it was time for tea/bath/bed. next morning millie goes to breakfast club school and then after school club... dan picks her up to bring her home and my colleague says millie HAS to make this card as her teacher has been in to see her and she isnt happy that its not been done, dad was given all the details and should have informed me etc... now andy isnt reliable and didnt give me ANY details of why this card needed doing. Dan was told it was because Millie had written "i hate such and such" during a spelling test...now that is highly inappropriate and not a nice thing to do BUT (and this is my issue) WHY wasnt she made to just appologise face to face?! why spread it out over a weekend and a day? AND Millie says she wrote it because this girl was nasty to her at play time BUT wasnt punished or made to write a similar letter?!?!?!?! ARGGG!!!! she then got really tearful and said if this card (AND a letter from me acknowledgement of this card) wasnt in by this morning id be getting a phone call?! This seems really really ott to me! if they have an issue that its THAT serious why wasnt a letter put in a bag for me?! instead of relying on a man that sees her once every other week?!?!?!? im fuming about this! anyway i sent dan off with a flea in his ear to speak to the teacher and get to the bottom of the incident (Obut he hasnt rang from work to tell me what happend and its driving me bonkers!) If i was at work id simply go and ask the teacher what happened.. but theres been a huge lack of comunucation and millies all confused and im confused! she wrote the card, but i told dan she wasnt to give it to the teacher inless this other child is told to do one the same!!!! am i over reacting ? or do i have a point? sorry for the massive rant but i cant get my head around it. seems a silly thing to do for a school who are usually sensible!
