I've just moved over to the 12-24 week thread, but it seems very quiet so I thought I'd pop over here and say hi too(like I haven't been lurking for months
)
Emsbet, can I go on the list please? EDD 13/11/12, team yellow (and will be staying yellow!)

Tesco seem to be cheapest atm Gin. £3 for a pack of 24. Amazon sometimes sell 6 packs of 24 for a good price, but they're out of stock atm.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Can anyone tell me when I'll get my MATB1 form? Will it be at my next midwife appointment (25 weeks)?
Due to been made redundant I'm on JSA and so I believe my SMA will kick in 11 weeks prior to EDD (I guess because it's not realistic that a women 29 weeks pregnant will find work). Does anyone have any experience of claiming SMA? How far in advance do I need to put the claim in?

Gin so good to hear from you, sorry you have had to go through leaving Emilio and Maya but I am pleased for you that it sounds like they are both doing well. They sound absolutely adorable, I love the image of them both falling asleep on you
I hope it's not too long before you can bring them home
Keep posting, I love reading your updates, you were my due date buddy for ages
Thanks for all the advice on baby clothes guys, I think I will get some more sleepsuits in a smaller size for hospital bag and maybe a few more 0-3mths...
Only a quick one from me as I have to get ready to go and see MW for check up so will catch up properly later

Thanksthat should work out ok as my next trip to the job centre after then will be 26 weeks. Although I won't hold my breath for swift processing, it took them three weeks from my first signing on to get payment!

Good morning all
Gin so lovely to hear from you! Was thinking about you the other day. Glad LOs are doing well. Can't imagine how hard it must be to leave them at the hospital, but sounds like they're getting really good care there. I know the others have already said it, but hope you and OH are also looking after yourselves too. It's always lovely (well I think so) to hear from the ladies that have had the babies when they pop back to here, so don't worry. Like Emsbet said if they're miserable it's them not us
You probably saw that Dashikii had her twins on the 21st, both over 5lbs. Her and OH we're still debating over names though. No news from Natwesty or Charli who have both been induced, hope all is well with them.
Hugs for the rubbish night RJH hope uni isn't too boring and keeps you awake.
Welcome LittleMoog
Bellola my midwife said to me last time I saw her that some people don't feel any movement until 22weeks and they haven't then they start to worry. But you know you're own baby and how often etc you have felt baby move. I'm sure the midwife will be able to reassure you and hopefully put your mind at rest. I'm still feeling the bubbles randomly not proper kicks, but he's moving around lots on the scan.
Thanks for the Boots pads tips, got a couple of packs of asda ones as they had some on special, but will stock up when I'm next near a Boots.
I think I am seeing the obstetrician this afternoon. Me being daft and out of touch. Now I'm at home I don't need to know the date.....much. Not sure why I thought it was the end of May and 31 days so was thinking it was on a Wednesday but last time his clinic was a Tuesday and it's the 1st today. Confused here, will have to ring up and check lol. I wrote it somewhere but not on my diary so I don't know. I think it was 3pm. Oh dear baby brain is definitely here to stay :rotf:

Yes Hun, GP or midwife can do them from 20 weeks. Saw my GP at 19+5 and she said she couldn't do it! I think you have to work for 26 prior to EDD for SMP for a company. Theres something like that in our maternity policy, prob just related to their maternity pay. I got bored to be honest reading itno idea about how to claim, would hope people at the job centre would know or CAB? Probably the midwife would have some idea also X

Thanks. Yeah it's 26 weeks which means I didn't get any mat pay when I was made redundant (was 16 weeks) but I've worked enough the last 66 weeks prior to EDD to claim SMA. I'll just wait until my next midwife appointment to get the form. I was hoping to have found work after been made redundant so that I could hold off claiming SMA until closer my EDD but it's not looking likely so it will start 11 weeks prior. Just means I'll have less payments after bubs is born and will have to look to go back to work earlier than I'd like.

It seems to be a completely separate jobcentre that deals with the claim, I had to send mine to somewhere in Wales I think (my geography is terrible lol), with regards to the form, I just asked for one in the jobcentre and they it me with the freepost envelope, form was quite basic, had to send 3 months wage slips and the MATB1 form with it - make sure you copy the evidence you send though as the man in the jobcentre told me they sometimes lose it0
