Anyone heard anything from Dinah? Hope all is going OK for her and her LO.

I think I see Dinah posting on another forum I'm on - not 100% sure it's her but the username and baby name is the same.

As for a name and shame... I'm in Nottingham and it's a hospital with 3 letters for a name - should be enough for anyone in the know to work out where it is.

can i ask some opinions please ?

Ive found a pair of combats on simply be but im not sure what their sizes are like,

Ive had no luck with maternity wear so far and ive been ordering off eBay as there are very few stockists near me, each time ive found my usual size 16 are coming up small.

has anyone ordered from them before ? Im thinking of going for a size 18 but i find they can be really baggy in the leg if too big :/

    Hi Guys

Just a quick update to let you know that my baby girls were both born 21st April at 5.55am and 5.56am by emergency c-section. I had got to 5cm dilated naturally before twin 2 got into distress then it was all systems go for csec. Twin 1 was 5lb 10oz and twin two was 5lb 2. No names as yet as OH and I are still [STRIKE]arguing [/STRIKE]negotiating.

Both babies are doing brilliantly but i'm the one with a few issues to sort. Finally got discharged from hospital last night and I'm soo glad we are home.

I would do it all again in a heartbeat. :D

    Congratulations!

Miska - I haven't used Simply Be before although I keep meaning to. I haven't had much luck with maternity trousers - apart from my trusted New Look maternity leggings! Because everything seems cut below bump, I just look fat :D I'm still conviced I look like that at 32 weeks - so I've taken to patting my tummy in front of people - all the time - as if to prove I'm pregnant! :D

And whilst we're on the subject - I have just eaten a masive bag of Haribo sour sweets. It felt good. But...hello heartburn my old friend! :D

Not sure about simply be, but I bought stuff from Asos and found it ran big, I ordered leggings and couldn't wear them until I was really pregnant as I was constantly pulling them up. My favourite trousers were from peacocks, black combats which were really stretchy wore them from 10 weeks all the way through and still wear them now and they were/still r fab.

Really think I'm going to give the washable nappies another go, been watching some you tube videos and think I was using the wrong fold! Anyway, they've bought out this new all-in-one nappy, one size fits all, that's supposed to be really good at night so might buy a few of those to test them out. I'd had a look on ebay, totted everything up and reckon I can get everything I need for about 6 months supply for around £60, which I don't think is too bad as it includes extra outers and inners and also 3 of the all-in-one jobbies. Also the good thing about ebay is, you don't have to buy a whole pack - you can pick and choose which bits you want which is ideal for me as I already have some!

I think it should save us around £40 by not buying disposables!

OMG that's my bloody booking hospital!!! I'm f***ing glad I've opted for a home birth now! bloody nora. the consultant there that saw me said i couldn't have my home birth due to my epilepsy. she hadn't even read my bleeding notes on what kind of epilepsy i have (no grand mal seizures) I have frontal lobe epilepsy.. i freeze, see and hear things and have de ja vu and then im sick. they mis diagnosed it for 15 years as morning sickness :rotfl: I had 2 home births when my epilepsy was misdiagnosed, but they wernt worried. as soon as my condition was diagnosed AND under control then they had a problem with it (even though it isnt dangerous). I agree they are moronic there xxx I would deffinatly follow through with written complaints xxx

Yep I second this about ASOS, I've only been wearing them from week 36 onwards which is ridiculous! Best buy has been my Topshop maternity jeans, pricey but they've seen me through from day one through work, evenings out and dog walks! I've found H&M really good too mind, had some nice over the bump combats from there and the sizing is spot on

Dizzi- I really think you shoudl put in a formal complaint or report the behaviour of your hospital, its disgusting. You would think they would realise women with new babies would be fragile anyway without adding unnecesary stress.

Glad you are able to relax a bit now Sexymouse, enjoy your weekend.

Congrats to Dashiki. Met up with my boss today who was due Wednesday, she is really fed up, baby has been fully engaged since 36 weeks, she can't have a sweep til Wednesday when she will be 7 days over, I hope something happens for her in the meantime.

Was a bit weird talking to her about labour and stuff, even though I have DD I don't consider myself to have gone through labour so couldn't offer any insight.

Does anybody else get a really bad smell in their nose that isn't actually there? My nose doesn't seem to work properly as I usually can't smell much but sometimes I can smell random smells like my grandads kitchen which always stinks of smoke and not being very clean; I haven't been anywhere near the house since before Christmas so there is no way I should be able to smell it.

DH has gone out tonight so had a quiet night to myself curled up with an accountancy textbook- very rock and roll I know! Think I might leave it at that now and start again tomorrow, DH and DD always go out for the day on a Saturday and I have to entertain myself; usually cleaning or studying, nothing fun!

    Enjoy your weekends ladies xx
