I'm still on normal underwired ones... I'm nearly 25 wk...I was 34/36g pre-pregnancy and got a debenhams maternity wireless one at about 8wk ... Soon out grew that as they only go to a g cup.
Been in H cup debenhams underwired ones since
Big cup sizes are sooo expensive I'm gonna save for a decent nursing bra nearer due date.... If any bigger boobed ladies have any suggestions they would be very much appreciated!

Not sure if you have tried anywhere that measure you but it might be worthwhile doing that if you can. Pre-preg I was 40G, they started growing a bit out of control so I went to M&S they measured me up and apparently I was a 44DD! (I haven't been a DD since I was 18). Not sure how they worked it out but the bra they gave me was so comfy and lasted me from 8 weeks to 19 weeks.

I have now got the problem that the backs won't fit me any more as my ribs have started to flare, I ended up in evans as they have massive back sizes. Not quite sure what I am going to do about nursing bras but will cross that bridge when I come to it.

If your sizes are still accurate have you tried bravissimo, their cup sizes go up to a k and their prices aren't too horrific.

Oooh, can't say I've noticed my boobs getting any bigger - still in my normal underwired bra's until baby comes along and then I'll be using 2 non-wired nursing bras.

I would really recommend Mothercare maternity bras. I had a fittingat about 14 weeks when the buy one get one half price offer was on. Got a couple of bras and some sleep bras which are all really comfy.

Got our cotbed today, the Tuscany from Babies R Us. Popped in to look at and maybe order and ended up taking it away with us along with the mattress. Should have been around £350 and we paid £220 which I'm chuffed with. Now just a few small bits to get and the dreaded pushchair then I'm ready! The intention is to have four weeks maternity leave in August where I can try and chill before due date. But I know things never go to plan!

Congrats to new mummies, labour vibes to boldies and hope everyone else is doing ok!

Agree on the bras. I got mine from Mothercare and they were great and really supportive I found :)

Also that's the cot bed we're going to buy. Let me know how it builds, as it seemed really sturdy in the shop. Although we've got plenty of room in the crib yet, he's teeny!

i went to mothercare to be fitted for bras but none were comfy, due to my upper back pain and rib pain just under my left breast all i have been able to wear is a sports bra. brought 2 from H&M in L, costing £9.99 each.

cant wait till baby is here and go back to bra normality lol

is anyone else clumsy during their pregnancy? i have become clumsy in the last few weeks, breaking things, knocking things over - dont trust me with your china!

I think it's the extra weight that kind of throws you forward a bit, I have broken a lot of crockery, and managed to fall up some stairs a few weeks ago too making a complete fool of myself in public (nothing new there then!) - I feel a bit like a weeble at the moment though, like I've adjusted to the extra weight so I sort of wobble around a lot!

Saw a couple out with their new baby in town today, they looked so proud, it just struck me, that will be us in a few weeks, I felt all warm and glowy just thinking about it!

Hi all, I hope you're having a nice weekend!

We were baby shopping today and I feel like my legs are going to fall off. Bought a cot, a mattress and a changing unit (which MIL is going to pay for :T) and 3 packs of newborn Pampers as they're currently on offer in Waitrose for £3.90 for a pack of 54. Funny enough, this is the first time ever I went to Waitrose and I never thought I'll go there to get a bargain! We also went to Halfords to buy Maxi-Cosi EasyFix base but it turned out that their in store price is £30 higher than online so we didn't get it. We had a guy show us how to fit it in our car though so it wasn't a waste of time.

Saw my MW on Friday and mentioned I'm worried about not putting up any weight. She said not too worry as weight gain doesn't mean anything and this is why they stopped weighing women.

I asked a question about baby monitors on here before. Well, I think we're going to go for a breathing monitor instead. I think for me it's between Babysense and Snuza (lots of good reviews on Amazon.com). Does anyone have one of these? They're approx. the same price as Angelcare with a breathing mat but I read that the mat can only be used until about 4mths when the baby starts moving in bed. The two breathing monitors I'm looking at will last much longer than 4mths. What do you think about these?

I'm 29wks 2days and still in my pre-pregnancy underwired bra 36FF. My boobs haven't really got any bigger yet so putting off any nursing bras purchases until I know what size I'm going to be.

And as for trousers - I'm wearing my pre-pregnancy trousers with a BumpBand. I'm secretly hoping it will last me another 7 weeks before I go off work.

And last thing - why does everyone want to leave the hospital ASAP? I always thought it's better to stay longer in case there's something wrong with the LO. Surely they won't be able to check much in a few hrs? Admittedly, I've never been admitted to a hospital so don't know what it's like.

    Hi everyone,

Silly Moo - don't worry about the weight, I lost a stone whilst pg with DD and all was well.

Re bras, you can buy the back extenders on ebay for a couple of pounds and I found they can make all the different with comfort and it saves money in the long run buying bras in different back sizes. I got a pack of white, black and neutral and have used them loads during and post pregnancy.

    HTH

I just had to do 2 weeks living on a maternity ward... know that saying about hell is other people... well when you're stuck next to some idiot who is on their mobile phone (outgoing AND incoming calls - invariably with some form of obnoxious ringtone) all night, when there's a room full of babies ALL screaming at once, when some filthy filthy mare's left their bled all over maternity towel in the shower (which resembles a murder scene anyway with all the blood people shed) and when there's scratchy school loo roll (or no loo roll for 2 days) and stitches are concerned... and that's BEFORE visiting time when everyone's entire circle of friends descend and make a racket, just as you're trying to catch up 2 seconds of sleep from the sleepless night... and if you stand in the same spot for more than 10 seconds someone will offer you drugs or to check your stitches.

Oh and if you're in overnight the labour suite team are incapable of bringing anyone up to the ward quietly - they do it in some kind of stage whisper quiet which makes more racket than it would do if they did it at normal volume... usually banging into your furniture through the curtains as they go, bonus points if they can drag the armchairs across the floor and make a really loud obnoxious scraping sound.

Maternity wards tend to drive everyone bonkers very rapidly - my sanity hasn't yet recovered.
Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!
