Meant to post on this earlier but forgot I have carpal tunnel syndrome, had it with DS too, mine is mainly bad at night when it wakes me up. Sleeping with my hands raised on the pillow helps but it stil doesn't stop me having 'claws' in the middle of the night During the day if you get it get two bowls of water, one warm, one cold and dip your hands in to each one in turn. If you do this a few times, it should ease up for a bit

I did look at the surf rebekah but I didn't like that it didn't seem to have a proper tray on the bottom.

I went for a head massage the other day, assuming I'd be OK and would have it sitting down. Not so; she stuck me on my back despite my saying that it made me uncomfortable and a few minutes in I had to make her stop because I went all faint and clammy. We carried on with me sitting more upright but it wasn't a very nice experience overall .

Aw that's such a shame, I was on my side the whole way through, half an hour on one side, half an hour on the other covered with warm towels and with a cushion between my knees, it was the only treatment they offer for pregnant women because of the lying on your back thing. I have to say I slept so well last night, still feeling pretty chilled today!

Huge congratulations Dashikii! Feeling a bit anxious about all the hospital visiting stuff too, my friend told me yesterday that she cried every night her husband had to leave (they were in for five days) I'd be breaking my heart too, we are never apart and I can't stand the idea of him leaving the LO so soon after birth so am hoping for a quick turnaround.

Hospitals make me very anxious, years of visiting my Dad and a horrible touch and go situation last time he was in so I tend to break out in a cold sweat when I come near the main entrance!

Maisie has colic and severe constipation and i just want to scream aarrrggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Childminder rang at 7:30 this morning to say she couldn't have Finley. Stressed.com. I am sat here eating a big bag of bitsa wispa to make me feel better. diet will wait, lost a stone since having Maisie 3 weeks ago but still 2 to go.....oh well.

I read a new thing yesterday about nappy changing making colic worse because lifting baby up my the legs bends the spine in a way that isn't good for them so instead of lifting them you have to role them side to side to wipe them and get the nappy on. I only heard about it yesterday and there is a you tube video about it but I haven't spoken to anyone who's tried it so don't know if it works.

My DD was born at 4:30am and after the birth they pulled out a spare bed from under my bed for my OH to sleep on, he then was allowed to stay until 8pm before being sent home although he went home earlier anyway to have a shower etc. I stayed in an extra night because they wanted to make sure I had breastfeeding sorted but this time if the timings are the same again I would want to go home asap.
