I have already pre-warned the midwife that I will be mithering to go home asap lol last time I was in for 3 days and spent most of that asking anyone dressed in uniform to discharge me :p I have been told its now down to 2 days for c-sections so I am aiming for that :o

Too right. As soon as the epidural's worn off and you've shown that you can do a wee-wee, I'd be out the door :D

Emsbet. I'm a bit envious of your round bump. I still look podgy when I'm sitting down rather than pregnant.

Thanks :o it definitely depends on what I am wearing. Loser, but still slightly fitted tops seem to be the most flattering. Also wearing joggers or trousers are better as my jeans seem to squash it into a weird shape.

I'm not sure whether our hospital allows dads to stay overnight, probably not and I just assumed DH would be going home if I had to stay overnight. I'm hoping for a late night/early morning birth so I can hopefully go home the same day, assuming all is ok. I hate staying in hospitals.

when I had ds2 he was born at 8pm in the evening, once we had all the checks/toast/clean up etc we were handed over to a rather stern looking midwife who was taking us over to the ward. As we reached the entrance she abruptly said to my husband "say goodbye" no-one had said a word about him leaving before then which made me so tearful as we had seconds to say goodbye for the night (with a tutting audience) and after sharing such a massive thing it seemed so odd for him to then be kicked out.

I am, had a horrid time with DS ending in an emergency section - can't face anything going wrong again :o Will be booked in at 39 weeks so approx 5 1/2 weeks to go..

Yup! thats why I was so interested in the food when you posted - I have a network of people now set up ready to sneak in supplies :rotfl:

My thoughts exactly! Last time was so frustrating, DS was fine, I was able to get out of bed and move (albeit slowly) and they STILL wouldn't discharge me lol I ended up threatening to discharge myself and I reckon that, combined with the accosting of any and all medical staff, is what got me out of there :p

I am, it wasn't a pleasant experience with DS ending in an emergency section - I can't face all that again so am opting for planned this time. I will be in at 39 weeks so only 5 1/2 weeks to go now

Yup! That's why I was so interested in the food while you were in there :p I have now arranged for a network of visitors to bring me supplies in for my stay ;)

I plan on getting my orders in before I am admitted :D I might even make a list of 'acceptable foodstuffs' to go alongside my birth plan (but to be given to OH instead of to midwives) :p And as for being out next day - thats a new target to aim for :D:D
