Morning all, hope your weather where you are is better than here on the south coast - p*ssing it down here!

Congratulations lisa on the arrival of little katie :) Love the name, and elizabeth is a name particularly close to my heart :) Good jubilee-year name too! :D Hope she comes home soon x

Well done emsbet on your diy, sounds lovely :) We can't decide what to do with the nursery...plasterers are coming next week though so will be wanting to start painting soon. The room is very small with two sloping ceiling/walls where its in the corner of the loft. Any ideas? What's everyone got planned for their baby's room?

I think I might bake a banana cake today :)

Gemma, glad you're feeling a bit better.

Hugs to everyone that wants one, I'm feeling particularly affectionate today! ;)

So far we've just got a kind of golden cream wallpaper up with mocha carpet (to hide any potential baby stains ;)) and are planning on putting some of those pretty wall stickers up and maybe a few picture. We don't really want anything too OTT. Our room is a tiny box room (going to use the "box" as a changing table, so we don't want the walls to crowded with images/patterns as it will make it look even smaller.

    xx

    ETA how's your eye?

  • Morning all :)

Lisa26 Sounds like a very stressful time for you all, glad you are having your mummy cuddles now and hope little Katie starts putting on weight soon :)

Choclover We were given the Bambino Mio 'birth to potty' pack by OH's boss, basically she bought them to use herself but after breaking her leg soon after baby was born reverted to disposables due to the convenience. I used disposables with DS so this will be my first attempt with 'traditional' nappies :o We are planning to use them during the day and then maybe use disposables at night (unless they are really good in which case we will use them full time). I figure it's not cost us anything and could save us a lot of money in the long run :)

Emsbet Yep, £33.00 lol it's a Hauck one but is in next to new condition and even if it only lasts us for six months, I will still see it as a bargain :) It came with all accessories (footmuff, rain cover etc). I LOVE both of the Silvercross ones you have picked out :D The first one is the one I fell in love with before getting the eBay bargain hehe

Hope all ok, really need to get some bits done around house, catch up later :)

Wow that is a bargain!! I think we've put our sensible hats on and decided that the first one is too much money. They also do another one that is like a proper old style pram and is gorgeous but is over £1k

Morning all, I'm still here and still pregnant!

I think little one is just going to stay cosily in my tum until forcibly evicted.

I'm struggling to get up from sitting or lying down now. SPD is agony at this stage. Hopefully that will disappear after baby is delivered.

Amymo that massage sounds heavenly. Hubby has promised me a spa day once this is all over, although obviously it will be a while before I can take a day to myself again!

Congratulations Lisa! I hope little Katie is doing well and you can all go home soon.

Triangle I hope your SPD isn't too bad today, you have my sympathies.

Hugs to everyone that needs them and good luck and labour vibes to other boldies and nearly theres

More pineapple for breakfast for me!

Not yet no. We are definitely holding off buying anything blue until the next one but might start looking around at cots, prams etc as I haven't a clue really. We will be getting a cot rather than cotbed as there isn't much room in the nursery. I know I want a pram that looks like a pram IYSWIM. Car seats are another thing, I really wanted to get isofix as our car has the anchors but we discovered that due to the underfloor storage that is in the back you can't use them as the foot of the base would go straight through the floor in an accident!! Why they bother putting the anchors in I'm not sure?!

    xx

Are you sure you have to have a seat with a leg to the floor? Our stage 1 isofix carseat just attaches to the hooks at the bottom of the car seats and doesn't have a foot.

Oooo! Really? All the ones I've found have the leg. That's exactly what I'm looking for as we have the hooks in the car. Do you know what your base is called? We are going to go to somewhere like halfords and see if they can advise us. It's not something we need to rush to buy so are going to take our time looking around.

Pregnancy massage was amazing, thoroughly recommend it..

Did you have to lie on your back at all? I can't spend more than a minute or so on my back because womb + bambino squashes the main vein and I feel like I can't breathe.

I went for a head massage the other day, assuming I'd be OK and would have it sitting down. Not so; she stuck me on my back despite my saying that it made me uncomfortable and a few minutes in I had to make her stop because I went all faint and clammy. We carried on with me sitting more upright but it wasn't a very nice experience overall :(.
