Omg this bloody laptop is stressing me out! Can't see back to any previous pages, so can't catch up with everyone and just wrote a long post and lost it!!

    And......breathe. Hello ladies :o

As I said before, I can't read back for some reason, only this page, so I wil just say that I hope everyone is ok and the aches and pains aren't too bad for everyone! My noonie bone is really aching today  sorry, tmi :D

Well I was sent home from work at 2pm today as I'm still not 100%....shouldn't have gone in really but hate letting people down! My nose kept bleeding too, not gushing, but enough to say it was a nosebleed. About 3 times? Not had any since I've been home, maybe I'm starting to become allergic to work?!!

And my fingertips on my right hand have gone all numb and tingly, checked google (surprised it didnt say my hand was going to fall off) and it could be carpal tunnel syndrome, quite common in pregnancy apparantley. Anyone else had this?

Emsbet, was it your scan today? If so, how did you get on?
Spa day for your mums hen sounds amazing!! My MIL is getting married in August and the hen do will be about 4 weeks after LO is here, eek. Dunno how I'm going to manage that one, I might not even want to leave baby! Its only a meal so will probably go for a couple of hours......will most probably spend the night sobbing! And will look like a huge blob in the wedding pictures, terrific! How selfish of me, its her day.....:p
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)

just a quick one from me,

katie - sounds crazy and very scary the birth happening so quickly. thank you for the warning about movements, the only advice my midwife gave was contact hospital if have less than 10 movements a day, but i think i will contact if movements are less than usual.

Rebekah - sorry to hear you are in pain, bet you are counting down the weeks like me.

sexymouse - must be frustrating having to wait a few more weeks till you get the ok with things buthang in there.

felt pretty good today until i got home sat down and felt incredibly tired, baby moving loads today and movements are feeling a lot stronger.

counting down till my 28 week appt with midwife to get first measurement:)

hope everyone is keeping well and coping,

    Laura

My scan was Tuesday, SM had hers today. Mine went ok, all they could measure was fine but despite having three goes at scanning my little monkey refused to move from traverse position so they couldn't measure the heart and face so we have to go back two weeks on Monday for another one. Sonographer thinks we are team blue but told us to ask them to double check next time as the picture wasn't too clear.

Yeah I am looking forward to the hen. A little more dubious about the the wedding when I'll be 39+3! Also have a wedding of two friends six weeks after due date, not sure I'm going to want to leave bubs but I don't think we can take a baby that young along really. We will have to wait and see closer the time.

Sorry I've not had carpel tunnel but if does sound like it for, what I've read but maybe mention it to your midwife just to check.

Glad she arrived safely and is doing well. How early was she? And are you home now? Sounds like a very scary day. Good you went to get checked, I guess some people don't if they're told movement reduces.

She was only 8 days early! We knew she was going to be on the small side but she had only grown by 1lb since our last scan which was 6 weeks before she was born.

Emsbet, the pram which is your favourite was my second favourite and I would say that whilst it is expensive it is actually very good value for money.

Thanks for the hugs ladies, feeling a bit better today. DH seems to be making an effort today.

Congrats Lisa, hope you start seeing some weight gain ASAP.

MW appt went well, heard heartbeat which sitll sounded train like, we will see if the old wives tales are true or not (train for a boy, horse for a girl I think). My sis came with me, she is training to be a nurse at the mo and hoping to be a MW so trying to involve her where I can. Got my anti-D injections booked in for the same day i see the consultant to discuss delivery/ progress so think that will be a bit of a stressy day!

Had a very busy day at work, glad I'll be off now til Tuesday, how I ever managed to work full time last time I was pg I will never know!

DD was so sweet today, was singing rign a ring a rosy in the car on the way home from work, so adorable! Lover her so much it hurts sometimes.

Anyhoo off to oil up my belly to try and ward off stretch marks (so far so good). Nighty night all, hope everyone is good.

Glad you're feeling better today Gemma.

Lisa, I do love that one but I think the price maybe a bit excessive. It's a new model too so I doubt there will be much of a discount anytime soon.

re warding off stretch marks.. I have some from the last two babies but this pregnancy ive been using this http://www.boots.com/en/Palmers-Cocoa-Butter-Formula-Bust-Cream-125g_1040125/ Its more expensive than their stetch mark cream but is higher in collagen and isn't oily or greasy.. it dries within a few minutes and i havent had any new stretch marks :D :j:

The baby event wasn't as exciting as I hoped, did manage to get a blanket (winnie the pooh) one and some bottles but not much else I needed - we bought a load of newborn nappies and wipes in the last one back in January plus we are using washable nappies after the first few weeks so will not need any other sizes hopefully  At least OH will be happy I haven't hammered the bank account too much :o

Just out of interest jovichick what washable nappies have you decided to use? With my first, I bought a starter pack of bambino mio after being quite impressed with the trial pack, but found that the piping around the legs was a woven material instead of plastic (which was on the trial nappy) and found that within an hour of having the nappy on it had leaked. I also found that with the small sized nappy, the way you need to fold the inner bit made the nappy really bulky and clothes didn't really fit her that well because of it. I also got a trial pack of the mothercare smart nappy, but I don't know whether the size I got was wrong as it just seemed really small and the way the Velcro fastening was at an angle it just seemed too tight.

However, I would love to try it again and for it work but maybe I just didn't do it right or I got the wrong stuff I don't know, but it must beat buying nappies for three years! Currently we get through around 4-5 a day with DD, but this was obviously considerably more when she was younger. The thing with disposables is that you don't consider that when they move up a size you get less in the pack so therefore spend more money to buy the same amount.
