Awh Triangle Im sory you pelvis is giving you such pain. I had a lot of pelvic pain earlier in the pregnancy and still suffer with it sometimes. I ve found the best thing for me is to prop myself up on the sofa with a few cushions behind me and my feet up and then put a warm weaty bag just on the pelvic bone. I know you re not supposed to put a hot water bottle on the front of the bump but a weaty bag isnt as hot so my MW said it was ok. The warmth and weight of it are very comfy and you can angle it right on to the pelvic bone more easier than a hot water bottle. Might be worth a go for you

Hello,
Exam is done thank goodness, I finished it early so didn't even use my 15 minutes rest time, just worked like a demon to get my notes out of my head and in a vague format on the page, I hope I've done enough to pass so I don't have to resit and leave LO in October!
Charli, glad you're feeling more upbeat again, that's the spirit and in less than two weeks you'll have your gorgeous little one!
To those in pain, this miserable blooming weather isn't helping, I'm sure my pelvic pain is worse when it's cold and rainy! In other news, at 39+5 I have now largely lost control of my pelvic floor which I worked so hard at maintaining! LO must be quite low now as I cannot control it when I pee and sometimes I have to run really quick to the loo which is more and more like a waddle these days!
Can't wait to get back to nesting now my revision is done, loving this clean and tidy house!0 -
LOL at the spelling and grammar in my last post!! Baby brain has much to answer for!!0

Evening all,
Just spent the afternoon sorting out all the baby clothes I've got in the past couple of weeks. Wow there's loads!! There all in size order and I've written down how many of everything I've got. Yep I'm that sad!
Triangle big hugs for your hips, hope you've managed to relax a bit and they're feeling better.
Miss Money glad you had a good day yday and are feeling positive today. Sometimes a good talk can clear the air.
Charli good you have a plan now, hope you go into labour before the induction but at least you have a date.
Well done Amymo on your exam
Hugs Student Mrs for your poor ribs. I'm still at the fluttery butterfly stage so no hard kicks......yet!
According to my phone app I'm 20 weeks today!! Cannot believe I'm half way already. It is going quite fast in a bit of a blur now.
My crutches didn't arrive today, so I'm a bit sad. But I really want to go to the nearby big asda to see if there's anything great in their offer. Might get big nappies and other goodies to put towards the nappy cake I'm making for my bestie. OH isn't too keen for me to go on a trek of asda, but I will take my stick. If the worst happens he'll just have to put my in the trolley hahaha can imagine the funny looks already:j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j

Was looking on the site there and it's been reduced to £329 for the chassis, carrycot and pushchair. Not sure if that was the price you saw it for last night thoughapologies if it was x

i have had lots of comments about bump being big/small and the question am i carrying twins......i am not letting it wind me up and just laughing it off really. somedays it can be annoying, as i get quite a few people saying the same thing in one day.
re rib pain - i get rib pain on a daily basis under my left breast, so its a bit different to your pain student_Mrs.
have finally had 2 nights of really good sleep - i have a pillow between my legs and one folded in half stuffed slightly under my side at my back, works well for me:)
i panicked a bit this morning as didnt feel baby move for first hour of the day (this is not normal for me) luckily he/she started movement a little while after i had got to work. i was getting all paranoid that something was wrong.
have been fed up with feeling hungry today, i am hungry again now, i am running out of healthy things to eat and end up craving crap
wishing everyone a good nights sleep,

Yeah, I think I'll take the midwife's word for it and she said everything seems perfect. I have to go for a blood test later in the week though to check for diabetes as it is in my immediate family. The instructions are very specific. I'm to get up and have a bowl of cereal plus one slice of toast with spread and jam or marmalade - all of which must be eaten within ten minutes - and then get them to take blood exactly two hours after I finish eating. Seems like a right palaver - last time I was tested for diabetes it was a simple finger !!!!! test and it didn't matter what time of day/what I'd eaten. I think I'll go Friday morning as I am off work then. I have Monday and Tuesday off as well as we want to get the nursery decorated - I can't wait to get it all set up nice!
Gosh Elelyn this sounds heavenly compared to what I have to do for my diabetes test! Mine is on 21st May at the local hospital, I can't eat before and can only have water. Then at the hospital they give me a sugary drink then I have to wander around the hospital for 2 hours (without eating or drinking) then return to have the blood test. Sounds awful!0 -
We went to our local Mothercare baby event this evening. Was very useful, listened to the talk on pushchairs and then they showed us some. Think I'm swaying towards the Oyster now.
Also got the playmat we wanted and some maternity denim shorts as you get a 10% discount voucher in the goody bag. Would really recommend going if anyone gets the opportunity.0
