I missed our mothercare event! Gutted, was having a screaming row with DH instead so not exactly a worthy reason to miss it either.

Feeling a bit carp tonight and low, I feel like DH talks to everyone else normally, but when he talks to me he is really cold. We haven't DTD for ages, he is put off by my bump, and if I speak I just seem to annoy him. This has been going on for weeks now, actually pretty much since we moved house (November). All I want is a cuddle and someone who is nice to me. Sorry to bring the mood down, I don't really have anyone in RL I can talk to. Apparently I have really changed since being pg (I felt quite poorly to start with and am still tired), although it only seems to be him that has noticed it. Gah, bloomin men and hormonal women don't mix.

Seeing MW tomorrow, hopefully will get to hear heartbeat again and will be measured, I got told I look like I have a football up my top today, she meant I'm all bump, so pleased with that, just want to reassure myself that I am not the huge el blimpo version of myself that I feel I have morphed into.

Sorry moan over, hope everyone else is good (haven't read back, will do now)

Bellola, I had my glucose test a few weeks ago and it was exactly like you said yours is going to be. Had to fast from 10pm the night before, luckily my app was at 8am. Had a blood test, drunk the glucose drink(not as bad as my midwife made out it was going to be!) waited an hour, had another blood test then had to wait another hour, one last blood test then it was done! Nearly 3 hours later! The hanging about is the worst bit, so boring and I wasn't even allowed to sip water! By 11am I was staaaaaarving so stopped off at McDonalds on the way to work haha :-)

((hugs)) Gemma, was he the same the last time you were pregnant? I know a lot of guys get very confused emotions about pregnancy. They see us changing and are not sure how to feel about it and I think as bump gets bigger some of them are not comfortable about DTD as its more real to them a baby is in there.

DH haven't DTD since I got my BFP because I have such a fear of having a bleed afterwards. I know that it happens to lots of women and isn't anything to worry about but I know I just couldn't handle it. DH is wonderfully understanding about it and he's not totally neglected

Thanks Emsbet, he was a bit funny last time but got over it a bit by this stage, but I felt a lot better last time too so perhaps I was better? Was a lot more confident in my curves then too. He is a natural born worrier and can't think about things that get him stressed so we haven't really said much about this bubba.

I guess its a time of big changes for us with moving a baby on the way, he said earlier its a difficult time and we need to try hard to get through the next 12-15 weeks then will be OK, ie once baby is here all will go back to normal.

I'm probably being oversensitive, just want him to be a little bit excited about it!

No, sorry Gilly it was just the 10% I think. The rest were just leaflets. Then there was a little hat, some pregnacare and a set of toiletries for the baby.

Gillyx - thanks for the info on the pram; will be checking that out shortly! My best mate told me last night that I can have her Cybex car seat and base as they won't need it in another couple of months so we have saved some pennies there!

bellola - I've got to have the exact same test in June! Will be taking a book with me I think and maybe a pillow as the seats in the waiting room are ok for ten or fifteen minutes but not for two hours! Think my appt is am, but I am a nightmare when I miss breakfast, lol!

Gemma - big hugs and lots of support to you! I hope your OH realises soon how beautiful bump is!

Morning all!

Scan day today - 9am, so gotta go and get my hair dried, and eat breakfast before we go. I'm looking forward to seeing Bean again, and hope we're able to find out what it is. I have a feeling it'll be team blue, but will have to wait and see.

Had the worst night's sleep last night - terrible storms here in the night, and we sleep with our heads near the window. The cat hasn't left my side though for the last couple of weeks, and he even snuggled up near my chest last night when he came in, even though there was only a tiny gap between Moon and I. We think he's guarding the baby! Either that, or he's trying to let me know that he's indispensible. lol

Hope the midwife appointment goes well today Gemma.

Hugs for all in pain, and labour vibes to those who want them.

At 23 weeks your baby will have moved a billion times since your scan so he might well be somewhere else entirely now! Your pain is most likely your ribs stretching a bit to allow more room for your lungs or possibly a bit of uterine pain from stretching.

TBH, you get all sorts of pains don't you? I'm of the impression that if they go away eventually there's no need to worry!
