Thanks guys, I have promised myself a cake if I get my head down for a good couple of hours revision, I really just need to 'pass' this module (get 40%) but I have spent a lot of time procrastinating (much of it spent on this lovely forum)!
Have a good day everyone! x0 -
*hugs* to Charli, you're not a failure sweetie, your baby is just too comfortable
Glad the sweep went OK, hopefully it'll kick things off for you.
If it makes you feel any better my friend who gave birth recently had 2 attempts at a sweep but everything was so closed the midwife couldn't do them. She was booked in for an induction but spontaneously gave birth at 10 days overdue - the day after the 2nd failed attempt at a sweep.
Amymoo Good luck with the exam. I've got an OU assignment due in a few weeks and finding it hard enough to get that done so I'm in awe that you're managing to revise and do an exam.
Discovered last night that it's not my OH which keeps me awake at night as I still woke up every 2 hours feeling awful despite having the bed to myself. Had a lie in this morning as I didn't have anything to get up for though I'm not sure why I bother as I end up feeling out of whack for a few hours after waking because I'm hungry.
Reading about home births was interesting, I told my midwife at my booking appointment that I wanted a home birth just for the comedy value of watching her trying to come up with a way to say no chance, without going against the whole every woman should have a choice.
- I mentioned a home birth just after we'd finished the form about previous medical history where she had to tick a lot of 'yes' boxes and write lots of notes about stuff she didn't know about.
It amused meI'm actually just happy that the obstetrician hasn't decided I need to give birth in a hospital with a neurosurgerical unit and that the local hospital is perfectly suitable.
Baby's very active this morning, I'm now at the stage that when I'm sat down you can see the movements through my t-shirt - looks like something's trying to burst out of my abdomen
I think he's moved because the kicks are no longer in my ribs but further down.
I ought to go back to studying - only came on to check something on the OU website and you terrible people distracted me
Good luck to all the boldiesHappy St George's Day

My OH being away is bad for my health - last night after he'd gone I had two lots of cherry garcia ice cream and 2 packs of seabrooks crisps despite having a lovely (and filling) roast lamb dinner before he left.
I've got something sensible for dinner so won't be going for takeout but there's still half a tub of cherry ice cream, half of haagan das cafe de leche and half a tub of haagan das cookie dough sat in the freezer.
Actually writing this I think just having 2 lots of cherry and leaving the rest shows amazing restraint0 -

lol Miss Money, my OH is another of the do-nothing weekend fans... I've taken to giving him a list of things that need doing on a Friday night (the things I can't do like moving heavy stuff etc) otherwise nothing would ever get done
I swear if he says 'at least you don't work' one more time, I will swing for him - he seems to think being at home all day is some kind of utopia, I think he is under the impression that magic elves do the housework and I am sat here painting my nails all day :rotfl:
Mrs Manda I agree you were very restrainedI don't honestly think I could have done the same
My baby now has a bed :j:j The cot arrived about an hour or so and I am trying to resist the urge to open it up (I love flat pack)....

yes please
I'm so opposite from the oh its unreal! I cannot not do stuff at the weekends I need to be out and about doing stuff. Staying in the house drives me pottywhere as Dan, well He can quite happily sit down and not move for 48 hours... even if it means theres no shopping in the house:eek: he eventually got off his bum and went to the co op last night at 8pm.. without my list and got what he likes and nothing of what me and the kids like :rotfl: when I get my independence back I'm soooooo going out every sat/sun without him!!

Back again.
Hugs Charli hopefully things will get moving without the induction and you'll have the birth you've been dreaming of all these months. As long as bubba is here safely in the end all will be well. Although Happy's was great, will have to make notes of that for when it's my turn! I'm still at the big cup pas, choccy and lazing :rotf:
Jovi I would be attempting to put up the cot too, it's just too exciting!! Sounds like you're nearly sorted.
MrsManda would you stop? You've made me very very hungry with that long list of food!!!
MissMoney I guess I'm lucky my OH quite likes DIY etc so normally him and his dad get on with the list of jobs I've given them at weekends whilst I'm out the way at work....however
I returned from the dr. Was my own dr so she knows all the past medical history etc so made it a lot quicker than normal. Basically she signed me off for two weeks and then said we'll see. But she basically said its unlikely I can go back to work before the baby comes. She said she should be more positive but there's not much they can do for SPD. I knew that, but I was still kinda hoping that there would be some magic somewhere. The thought of the next 20 weeks at home in pain I think will make me madder. GP reckons occy health is unlikely to allow me to work even in a clinic due to health and safety especially if I'm on crutches. The bummer is I need to do one more assessment on the ward for my last uni module so if I'm off sick it's whether I can do that or I'll have to defer until after baby comes and return to work. Not wanting to write all the essay etc to find its no good next year IYSWIM? Will be gutted as really wanted to get it finished before baby comes rather than having hanging over my head and having to try and do it all with the baby. Argh!!!!!!!
On the plus I can live in my craft room :-) and have lots of time to be creative. Got a learning Italian cd which I've been meaning to learn for years, so thats another nice sit down job I can do. Trying to be positive here! I'm sure I'll find stuff to keep me out of trouble and away from online shopping :-):j Baby boy arrived 22nd August 2012 :j
:jSecond menace arrived safely 13th February 2014 :jDebt Free Wannabee 20150
